Looks like Santa Clara will be hurt the most of all schools by the U-20 Youth Championships. They lose two star players, the backbone of their defense due to their inclusion on the U-20 team announced yesterday.

Cronin in goal and Cochrane in central D. SCU may have a minimal drop-off at goal-keeper spot, but it's really hard to replace a Ryan Cochrane on the field.

I know there will be more players named later. What other schools are going to be impacted? Washington, Stanford, UCLA so far with one player each. Interestingly, all defenders!

The roster announced yesterday was just for a friendly next week against Japan.

That said, Santa Clara will be hurt by the timing of the World Youth Championship.

Indiana (Grabavoy and Moor), will likely also lose two players. Stanford (Marshall), Michigan (Cameron) and Washington (Klaas) will all lose a key player as well. UNC could lose someone if Rongen picks him over Clint Baumstark and UCLA (Harvey) or Portland (Pearce) will also likely lose a player depending on which of them Rongen picks to be the backup left back.
