Tony with his second gamewinner in a row, as FCN wins 1-0 at home.

Buff, you just beat me to it. ;) Sanneh goes the full 90 and scores from 10 meters in the 69th minute.

Great run and finish by the rangy American. I think it was Mueller who booted a nice through ball to the lone running American who took the ball in alone. His marker chased from the right and as the keeper came out, he pulled it across the goal mouth and fired it in with his left foot. The keeper, not expecting a leftie, was caught leaning the wrong direction. Nice run and finish from Sanneh.

Great work in this match from Mueller, Petkovic, and Darius Kampa. Kampa's 85th minute PK stop preserved the win and earned him MOTM honors again. Cacau was injured early and had to leave the match. 1.FCN is now tied for 11th.

    From DPA:
"Der US-Nationalspieler erzielte in der 69. Minute das entscheidende Tor zum 1:0 (0:0) für den «Club», der sich mit dem zweiten Sieg in Folge auf den elften Tabellenplatz verbesserte."

Does this mean he's made the leap from US-Boy?

    Okay, let's start...

No, nothing to complain about today. Tony played well in the defence and also was often in the offence, tried to assist several times - definitely his best season performance. And to top this with my endless generosity: I would have given a 2.5 from what I saw and not only kicker's 3 ;).

But no analysis without critical remark: the shot was saveable :)

Was Larsen's assist btw (not Müller).

I'm glad to hear Sanneh has put together a couple of good matches. I hope now it will continue because it will be a struggle for FCN to stay in the Bundesliga.

Sanneh is the one who decides on his performances. Nobody doubts his abilities, he just got to concentrate over the full 90 minutes. As this often was not the case, I think that it was a good move to let him play in the midfield cause mistakes there aren't that fatal - and for him it is important to know that, previously he seemed to be scared to do a mistake and consequently it was just a matter of time until he did some. Oddly the new defence boss Dusan Petkovic - who otherwise played excellent - had one of the typcial Sanneh turnovers while opening the game.
