I don't think the Scandanavians are ready for the storm of red cards and horror tackles that are about to besiege their otherwise calm leagues.

Well he was on the developmental roster last year and then his contract wasn't renewed over the offseason, so FCD should have his rights...

I believe he was out of contract, so basically it is a free transfer. FCD loses out on that $600...

And Scandanavia gets the First Family of Slide Tackles. I'm sure they are having parades to celebrate the brothers' arrivals as we speak.

Actually as you can read from this news Sandi Gbandi has NOT signed with FC Viikingit.

Gbandi did not convinced Viikingit coaches with his skills.

I didn't know that either so I looked it up because I'm a geography nerd. According to the well-cited Wikipedia article on Scandinavia, only Sweden, Norway, and Denmark are considered Scandinavian in terms of a linguistic and cultural context. Finland, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands are commonly lumped from a geographical and historical standpoint because they are all so close and connected, but for the sake of accuracy Nordic is a more appropriate term for all those countries up there. ;)

Let me get this straight, we are discussing the proper regional categorization of Finland because Sandi Gbandi ISN'T going to be playing for a club located there? Am I getting this right?

    Random Finland-related tidbit...

Apparently, Finnish hockey players often play with soccer balls to improve footwork. Jere Lehtinen is particularly known for this. And, apparently, other North American hockey players have followed suit.

I wish I had a link for this, but I remember Ralph and Razor doing a segment on it in a Stars broadcast.
