Thanks and now joined , the only other Sand division cup is the Sandy Cup (which will start on Boxing Day and I’ll run the competition on the Sand banter thread. I’ll send the matchups based on the seedings at the Christmas gameweek timepoint. Now I need to make my next pick while trying to watch a hyperactive 8 yr old and a hyperactive dog:eek:

Haha sorry I did not know you ran a side comp.... I have been off grid for last few years (much to everyones delight I am sure). I guess we can run both these comps? ... or is that overkill ;)

I think it’s fine, the more competitions the merrier:thumbsup: that’s why Sand is the best division in all-rocks (but I’m biased, I know) Also I can’t seem to escape it anyway with mid-table finishes, but I’m fine with that:D

Now to make my next pick, very unpredictable (and probably questionable one to many to be picked at pick#5). However, I have a soft spot for Fulham since I visited craven cottage in 2003 and I liked the stadium vibe there and also there is a rich history of US players who played for the club (including my two favorite US players, Brian McBride and Clint Dempsey). And now seeing the old gunner Smith-Rowe joining them now, I’m going to roll the dice on him…

Haha yep Sand rules... all those snobs in the higher leagues take themselves way too seriously :p... we are keeping it real .

I am intrigued by your GK pick in Rd 4.. and strategy there? As one who always picks 'those who hang around with footballers" in Rds 14 & 15 (I would rather not pick them at all tbh) .. I am interested to hear. I am just nosey like that:D

Raya is the clean sheet king, I think he will rack up a lot of points for me. He won last years golden glove as well, so I think it will turn out to be a good pick for this season. 20 clean sheets in 41 appearances is pretty sweet:thumbsup:

Well played Dr Heckle with your two forwards

I am going to put my third forward in there so Tom can pick when he wakes up and it will jump straight to Norm

I’m going to put my third forward in as well, busy morning for me tomorrow so good timing to make the pick now and won’t hold things up draft-wise in the morning

As we are getting close to Round 15 we should start thinking of a good time to open the post draft transfer window

if anyone has suggestions post them here, need to consider all the time zones

Trying to get a good time to suit all time zones is tricky. First suggestion is 7am CT, 8am ET, 1pm London, 10pm Australia (Sydney) and I might have calculated that wrong.

We should finish tonight so this would be Tuesday not Monday

    Any objections, discussion, alternative ideas?

You are welcome to do that! That has been the tradition. VSR found a time for everyone this year and other leagues have in the past.

How about you get to choose the time and we all react like we are in Small Rocks?

Thanks for posting that Mark and you beat me to Fullkrug. I've been a big fan of his ever since he was on my favorite Bundesliga team Werder Bremen. Once he left, they don't really have much of a consistent scorer anymore (maybe they could bring back their all-time best scorer Miroslav Klose? | wish :D

Also wanted to give a heads-up to all Sand managers (before I forget later) that at the conclusion of this season there will be the 7th and 8th place teams starting a resurrected Dust league for next season. Also, we will be having two new managers (actually one new and one veteran manager) join Sand next season, which will be "promoted" to replace the two relegated Sand managers after this season. One manager is my son Quinn (with his team the Mighty Quinn FC) and the other manager is an all-rocks veteran Keysersoze who has also expressed interest in joining Sand next season. These two teams together with the two teams relegated from Small Rocks at the end of this season (plus the middle four teams remaining from sand) will fill out the 8 teams needed for sand next season.

In addition, we will need 6 more managers to fill out the rest of Dust league. So during the upcoming season if you could all please try to find someone you know who might want to join
All-rocks and we will have them set to join Dust. They will have to start from the bottom division (like I did and many others did in dust league, but my first year joining All-Rocks in Dust league was alot of fun) and work their way up to Sand and beyond. And with two of us currently in Sand who will be reforming Dust, it will be helpful to already have two experienced managers to help the other six new Dust managers find their way. Also I could run the Dusty Cup and Sandy Cup in parallel, it will just be a question of which league that I'll wind up being a part of after this season;)

The return of the Dust league will definitely be cool to have the four divisions going again, luckily there's a entire year to find those other six managers, so that should give us enough time to do that. I think sand would need to be the ones to enable this, since I’m not sure if the other two leagues will try to find new dust managers, so we should expect that we in sand will need to find all six to complete dust.

Sorry for the long post but just wanted to get all the details out there now, so we have plenty of time to make this happen for next season.
Thanks all and good luck with the new season!

    Dust League 2025-2026:
Dust manager #1 = 7th place Sand manager (relegated)
Dust manager #2 = 8th place Sand manager (relegated)
Dust managers #3-8 = new managers (found from current Sand managers)

For any new dust managers found for next season by sand members, the sand members who referred them will have their team names written in sand (either at Sea Isle NJ or Wrightsville Beach NC, I go to those two beaches every year). Now if that doesn’t motivate us all I don’t know what will:laugh:

I think we should already have 1 extra member for Dust next year , old mate who got catapulted into Small Rocks when Keyser was pushed out :geek::ninja:

Just a heads up - I've shared access to our spreadsheet with REVEALED: Starboy XI (Mark). He authored the script that generates the taken players page and is going to get it back up and running.
