In response to the last thread, I think best case would be that Debuchy plus new backup GK is a push from last year. Sanchez adds a top class talent that means we are in the mix. Still not sure it puts us over City or Chelsea, neither of whom we could beat last year.

Remy + Bender please....anything Khedira. We're going to complaining for 3 years if we sign Khedira because he'll take up a huge portion of the wage bill and there won't be many new signings next summer because of it! :)

Injuries will decide where we end up. If we stay relatively healthy we have as good a chance anyone.

Fair point but I assume that Wenger knows what he is doing and now has the cash to do it.

Will sanchez play as striker? Seems he has done it before, but can he do it in the EPL at his size? That would give us some amazing speed if Walcott and Sanchez were on the field at the same time.

I don't expect a ton more action beyond Sanchez and Debuchy -- I especially won't be surprised if we don't sign a DM (though it would be nice). Definitely need a CB if Vermaelen leaves though.

Veysey may not always be reliable, but this gave me a chub...

    From his twitter:

"From what I hear, Sanchez & Debuchy is just start for Arsenal this window. They have BIG plans & will look to bring in more proven players."

We need a center half even if Vermaelen stays, unless the rumors about promoting Pleguezuelo to the first team already are true.

Gimme Bender instead, as Khedira's asking for £150K/week.
