"Michigan basketball wins appeal of postseason ban" (scroll down the page for the Earthquakes info) "Judge's ticket actions defended"       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Sadly, this may be the first time that many people in the Bay Area were even made aware that there's a pro soccer team here.       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Another column in the paper today. It starts off talking about bring the A's to the South Bay, and then says "Sooner or later, the future of Spartan Stadium as a soccer venue must be addressed." near the end of the article. http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/columnists/mark_purdy/6856862.htm
I also quoted a piece of this in the AEG/Stadium/Tree thread. I also sent Mark an e-mail (it's ok, he knows me) giving him some of the background on the AEG thing and prompting him to contact Ridge Mahoney for more "official" leads. We'll see if he follows up.
Abso-friggin'-lutely!       Contrary to what some may think about now being the wrong time for the Earthquakes to start spending some money on advertising/marketing and to negotiate a takeover/reconstruction of Spartan Stadium, in truth now is the perfect time for the Quakes to be doing these things!       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
