    With the result, it better not have been a semi-pro.
    Better if it had been an EPL team.

    To QuakeAttack: Where is Alvarez? He is not listed as on the bench in Jeff Carlisle's article.

    What about Ecklund at d-mid and Mulrooney on defense? I know Mulrooney has played outside back on the USMNT. Would hate to do it, but with the injuries, is this an alternative?

    My guess is either it's a mistake or Alvarez is with the U-20 MNT...

    Not a bad idea about Mulrooney. However, I think we need a Robinson or Dayak who can play close to the defender and not allow them to turn or get a shot off. Agoos and Waibel tend to drop deep from the attackers (I'm usually the one yelling at them to not let the opposing team get the ball at the top of the box).

    Sorry guys. My bad. Alvarez is indeed on the bench for Saturday's game.

    Serna?

    What about Serna? MLS pregame article merely mentioned that Sigi "preferred" Moreno over him in the last game. Was he even on the bench?

    He is not mentioned in the QM article. Injured? Doghouse? Anybody gotta clue?

    On this note, any clues or theories about a lineup?

    I'll see if I can brainstorm something this afternoon.

    * * *brainstormed lineup* * *

    By no means official, but here's my idea on a lineup to face the Galaxy...

    From the front...

    Code:
    [color=blue][size=3]
    ------------Donovan--------DeRosario---------------

    -----------------------Ekelund-------------------------

    -----Lagos---------------------------------Corrales---

    ----------------------Mulrooney------------------------

    ---Dunivant-----Agoos-----Robinson------Mullan---

    ------------------------Onstad--------------------------
    [/size][/color]
    The way I figure it, the experiment of Brian Mullan at right back worked two weeks ago against Colorado, so it may be time to go to the well again.

    The "x" factor, though, might be with Robinson and his health. Is he good to go? If not, then Dayak plays. But that position would be critical, especially with Mullan in the back and the tendency to flex the 4-4-2 into a 3-5-2 with Mullan as the added midfielder.

    Tough call on the midfield, but you've got to have Ekelund as the attacking mid and Mulrooney as the d-mid; no two ways about that. And I'd let Lagos start, due to his big-game experience and the need to get the team ready for the playoffs.

    Hope this works. :)

    I really hope we win tonight. We just CANNOT be the team to give them their only road win of the season. We CANNOT.

    My thoughts, too. In fact, I've got no games on shootout this weekend.

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp This game is scheduled to be broadcast live on channel 425 on Comcast Digital Cable.

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp I'm not sure what the channel number is for either DirecTV or DISH Network, though.

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

    On Dish TV channel 456, right now, MetroStars vs. Revs. 4:30, same channel, KC vs. DC. 462 has the Scum @ Quakes at 7:00 p.m. (PDT). There are some others, too, but...
