That was a great game!!! See, I wish that a team would score fairly early in every game, because it seems that these games don't even begin until one team is down. But again, this was a great game. I thought that the ref was great and no way was that a penalty for SJ near the end. The replay shows that it was just incidental contact between the two players in which their feet got tangled. Whoever the ref was, he needs to be the ref for the final, because for once, there was a guy who didn't fall for all the flopping in and out of the box that players of all levels seem to love. A little jealous that DC ain't there though, but looking forward to a great show next Sunday. Go MLS!!!!

Fire and SJ at the HDC for the MLS Championship. Saying "Oh this is gonna be good" doesn't begin to explain it.

Apparently the Quakes have decided its more fun to fall behind and tie things up, because its starting to become habit. :) Exciting game, wont say great because I thought the ref tried a little too hard not to get involved, but definately entertaining. Plus the right team won. ;)

GOD that was a great game. Congrats on the win. Good luck next week for the cup. In my opinion if last week was the best game in MLS history, then this game is at least somewhere in the top 10, good up and down play by both teams, no team was really dominated, and each team had their chances to put it away.

Just can't do anything the easy way, can we? :D

I don't think I'd have it any other way, either... what a game, very exciting stuff.

What a great game! It was fun to watch. Landon is the man. Jamil Walker also played a brilliant match. I think he'll be a player to watch out for the national team in the future.

Since you're a Quakes fan you can skip the drinking part. :D

(I apologize but I'm still depressed from last week so I had to do something) :(

Yeah, but he's no John Meterperel. :)

Great game, a great last two days for MLS and from a league standpoint, I hope this gives the Quakes a huge boost in building their fanbase.

The crowd really seemed into it.

And I really enjoyed the FSW announcers. Great stuff.

That was one of the 10 best MLS matches ever. Maybe in the top 5.

Touché, and much understood. (Ran out of smilies here.)

Looking forward to playing in your team's home stadium next weekend. Wish I could be there in person.

looking ahead to next week. SJ can't really afford to fall behind late against the Fire. That defense is down right NASTY. Bocanegra, CJ Brown, Armas in the middle. Yea you really don't want to fall behind against these guys. Its a really intriguing match. I think Chicago is the more balanced and complete squad, but San Jose will have the best player on the field in Landon Donovan.

That is right, if you guys fall behind next week it is going to be really tough for you guys to come back even with Donovan on the field. Good luck though.

Hey, if we could put up 5 in about 81 minutes against a team that never allowed more than two all season and with a better defensive record overall than the fire, I wouldnt put anything past this team.

Hey there, our "defensive record" is only 8 goals different than LAs. Take out the "Spiteri 6" and then look at our record. And then look at the record since then. And then mention Jim Curtin rather than C. J. Brown, since he's actually playing (appooOnU).

And Donovan is a wanker. It was a well taken goal and all, but if I have to see his bare chest one more time I will puke. I mean, he strips for other peoples goals... ;)

Hey, not slamming the Chicago defense, but dont diss LAs either. Both are quality. Just saying that after Game 2 vs. LA I wouldnt count the quakes out against anybody.
