``I'll do everything I can to get on the field, unless I can't walk,'' said Agoos, who will start at left back for the second consecutive match, away from his usual position in the middle.

Now there's a captain's quote if I've ever heard one.

That's one thing that makes Jeff Agoos so special-- leadership by example.

And as an aside, note the lineup hint above. Even a bigger clue that Frank Yallop may very well stick with the same lineup that all in all, produced five goals against the Galaxy.

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp :D

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Sounds good for the tight confines of Spartan. However, f the Quakes win today, Frank Yallop may want to go back to his regular lineup for the wide pitch of the Toolbox.

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

No doubt about it, Goodsie. A move tailor-made for Spartan, especially given that the left back position, as I said last week about its implementation in Frank Yallop's system, is a position of attacking influence. Agoos can definitely serve balls into the attacking half from that position.

His lack of footspeed-- which, in fairness, was also noted in Dylan Hernandez's article in the Mercury-News for being responsible for L.A. to grab that early 2-nil lead last weekend-- would definitely be better served in the middle at the HDC.

But hell or high water, Jeff's gotta be out there, for the big games. Have to have his presence and influence out there.

Can't wait for the game today... Sunday afternoon, my time here. :)

The sixth bullet down, but at least it's a mention. :)

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp It'll be nice when (most likely within the next 3-4 years or so) every MLS field will be the ideal flat 75x116 (or 75x120, or whatever the standard length is) yards wide. That way, there'll be no more need to keep adjusting the lineup half the season only because of varying field sizes (especially tough for a team who calls an abnormally-small field home). :)

    &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp GO EARTHQUAKES!!! :(
