So half of their engine is out, is that what you’re saying?

I give us a 50/50 chance. We’re at home. We’ve got an excellent ‘keeper, and Judd, Bouda, Beau, and Jack will all be starting. Yeah, we can do this.

    Go Quakes!!

Gauld hasn’t played this year and he played 243 minutes last year. He hasn’t been part of their success at all the past 2 seasons. Muller is out but I’m not sure he’s even their best player. Their strength is in midfield and they have good wing play and a very good forward. But we’re not chopped liver, even without Timo and Niko. We can’t think about players like Judd, Bouda, Ricketts, etc. like we have in the past. They’re not borderline MLS players. They are performing as good MLS players.

    I think 50/50 sounds reasonable.

We're at home, and I expect Beau, Bouda, Judd, and Skahan to bring it... Quakes win is my call.

The Miami game was a sellout too, how did that work out for us?...:D

It was a draw against Miami.

Considering we sucked last season, wasn't a draw against Miami good for the Quakes?

Messi has 900+ career goals and zero of them against the Quakes.

He’s tied all time with Gareth Bale in goals against the Quakes, far behind Daniel Salloi and Justin Braun.

Fun facts you won’t hear in MLS 360. :)

Yes, Mueller is shown as OUT on the MLS Injury Report, but, Bruce seems to think he is going to play.

Could be, his injury was listed as “illness”. Doubt that he could be out too long with an illness unless that illness is “allergic to the Quakes” :).He might be scared!

The opening segment on today’s MLS Countdown has been heavily featuring this game and particularly the San Jose Earthquakes, including a live interview with Preston Judd.

When has that ever happened before on MLS Countdown?

I guess consistent winning does that. ;)

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

Well whenever a game is hyped this much...epic battle of the leagues top attacking juggernauts...the actual game is a cagey grind...i'm going with a 1 - 1 draw

OK, didn't really expect this. Looks like we're pushing Ricketts up to Timo's spot, and I guess Bouda's gonna play a 10 role?? Or maybe it'll play more like a 4-4-2.

Yep, Crockford on the bench. We've got reasonable starters, but the subs will be interesting

Müller is the Gould replacement. He drives a lot of their offense. He’s out, that’s going to hurt them. Of course, they still have Berhalter, who’s been on fire this season.

It will be tough, but I think that we have a solid chance.

    Daniel needs to stay healthy!!

I’m surprised that Skahan isn’t starting, but I expect that we’ll see him as a sub.

I think Skahan has had his best moments as a sub.
