When: Wednesday, May 11 @ 9:30 pm CDT
Where: Avaya Stadium; San Jose, CA
Records: San Jose Earthquakes (4-3-3), 5th in West
Houston Dynamo (2-5-2), 10th in West
    TV: ROOT Sports Southwest
Radio: 650 am /1010 am (Spanish)

This is the tenth regular season game for the Dynamo in 2016 and the 11th for San Jose. Houston went 2-1-0 against San Jose in 2015. That included the last road win for the Dynamo, 0-2, back on July 10, 2015. The Dynamo split the home games against the Quakes last year, losing 0-1 in May and then winning 2-1 in August. The two teams will play twice more in the regular season this year: July 31 in Houston and August 19 in San Jose.

San Jose's most recent game was a road loss, 2-0, against the Seattle Sounders on May 7. Wondo missed a PK late in that game that would have tied it up. The Sounders then added an insurance goal. The Quakes are 2-2-1 in their last five games scoring 5 goals and allowing 6. SJE is 4-0-1 in home games this year. After the Dynamo game San Jose has a league bye on the following weekend, plays Real Sociedad on May 18, and then is at the Galaxy on May 22.

The Dynamo are 1-3-1 in the last five games scoring 5 goals and allowing 8. Houston is 0-4-0 in road games this year scoring 4 goals and allowing 8. The road winless streak is now at 12 league games (13 counting the Open Cup).

The Dynamo next come home to host RSL on May 14 and then travel to Chicago on May 21.

I'm not sure which Dynamo will show up. The Dynamo that shuts out opponents; the Dynamo that scores more goals than the opponents, or the Dynamo that loses interest at half time, and drops points.

We saw what happens when Barnes gets involved in matches, with Cubo's quick one touch passing. Alex Lima's work rate was phenomenal Saturday.

Barnes demeanor looked different to me when Cubo was on the field. Some of the other players appeared that way to me as well. There were a couple of instances during the SKC game where it seemed that players weren't playing the ball to Bruin when it was the correct play, instead they took a bad shot or forced a bad pass. Unless Bruin runs down the ball it doesn't appear to me that he is being fed the ball. Maybe I'm looking too much into a hand full of plays.

Barnes demeanor is always up in the air. He looked really good last game and his crossing was even very high quality which is rare. He needs to do that every game.

There is always a sunny side to everything: Its the best time to bet on the Dynamo winning it all.
20 bucks pays $1600. I am about to put $50 on them!

I always recall how Ching and the guys spoke on playing San Jose after the Quakes returned to MLS.
They were shocked at how some of their peeps low talked the players, like they wanted to move in the first place.
Thus, beating San Jose became a personal thing for our past players.
It's all fun n games until somebody gets kicked in the face. HAHA!!!

Come on Rico, Barnes and the boys! DALE ETERNO BI-CAMPEON!!!

Dynamo are the only team in MLS without a road point. Something has to give, right?

4 of next 5 on the road. If they don't learn how to get points on the road soon, they are going to be very deep in the cellar.

You're getting better odds than Leicester City.

Lol It seems that way but its only 80 -1 odds. It looks like that because of the "moneyline wager" format.
Leiceister City had over inflated odds at 5k -1 where 3 bucks got you 15k.

Still at 80 - 1, I don't see why not. Miracles happen lol

Four one-goal losses. But still zero points. I agree, have to find a road win or two in this stretch

Thought i read somewhere that US odds makers never go very long anymore after a few teams in NFL/ MLB won on something like 300-1.

As for us: the only money id put is on us to win the Wooden Spoon. Wouldnt make a ton of money off it but id likely win something.

Why don't you just give me the $50 bucks and I give you a hug in return? Betting on the Dynamo to win it all is silly, even if you stand to make a few thousand dollars.

    And please, NO KAMARA HERE.

No such thing as a winnable road game for the Dynamo. Or heck a game at all this year.

How big is the hug? Do you have good size manboobs at least?? LOL

You never know brother. I know it seems that way right now but a 3-4 game Dynamo winning streak and those odds will diminish and the whole dark aura around here will go away (Save JuveChelsea).

Better to put your money in while the risk is greater.

With the Dynamo's confidence rising, and San Jose's injury issues, I'm expecting 3 points. It might be a chippy match.

    Dear everybody,

I'm doing my South America tour this week, so I won't be able to watch the game. And I forgot to set my DVR.

Any coverage y'all can provide would be great. Particularly if it goes beyond the: "Bruin sucks" short comments.

    Help a brother out.
