Why?! Why Hello Kitty? Is there a lot of crossover among fans?

My 20 y/o, Jr. in college, Daughter said this about the match:

    1) She really wants to go, but wants to go sailing with her Mother more.
    2) She asked me to get SWAG for her
    3) She wants pictures (bonus if I can get Kitty and my son in a pic)
    4) She said I needed to get there extra early, that all the people like her are buying up the tickets (this is entirely unverified)

There is a “Hello Kitty Land”
I also pinged my daughter about it (a bit older than yours). She was amused that the Quakes were having “Hello Kitty night” and said the tote bag would be good if I can get it.

There is actually a “Hello Kitty Land” in Japan, officially known as Sanrio Puroland, an indoor amusement park with rides, shows, parades, etc. and all of the Hello Kitty Sanrio friends. It was my daughter’s favorite place in the world when she was 3-4 years old. I think she went there 3 times or so because her grandma lived in Japan. I was there with her once. Thankfully she’s long outgrown it.

It looks like an entire park of It's A Small World. I'd have to off myself.

The Japanese word for "cute" is "kawaii". I think there is such a thing as death by an attack of the killer kawaii. But I was a dutiful girl dad - even knew the names of most of the "friends of Hello Kitty".

I always wanted one of these but they’re going for stupid money these days. Always thought it would be perfect for hard core punk:

Uh, "perfect?" I'd be fine with "competitive" (though of course we want to win!)

One of those rare weekends where Q2 play a day before the first team. It will be interesting to see if Nick Fernandez goes to Tacoma or stays in SJ for the bench on Sunday. I feel like Fernandez is in better form to play the Skahan role of coming in late with Temo and breaking out on counter attacks against tired defenses. He takes on defenders better than either Skahan or Leroux and he has more explosive quickness than Tsakiris. If Bruce wants to get the early lead and then kill teams on the counter he is a nasty weapon with Temo’s vision.

Yeah I’ll be really disappointed if Bruce stuffs Fernandez into Quakes 2 duty for virtually the whole again this year. So far this year he’s gotten about 3 minutes playing time with the 1st team. I think he’s made the bench in all the games so far but I could see Bruce trading him out for Buck at some point.
