Was he sobbing as he said it? The guy just looked shell shocked at the end of the game.

Anybody going to tell the Turk that the entire bench laughed at his shot that went out for a throw?

Went to the MLS site to look at what they had up about our game, and the RSL fans are already on their boo hooing over the ref. Typical.

Great game plan by Yallop. I'm glad he is our coach and got back our team where we were before the move.

Starting off the game with defensive pressure all over the field was really great to see. RSL eventually buckled under the pressure, and we made the #2 team in the league look like they should be playing in a lower division.

How do you explain this game; not altering the 'fact' that Real Salt Lake is better than San Jose??? It's luck, of course. HAHAHA.

I'm still at the 88th minute from having to pause but I figured after 5 goals I wasn't too worried about spoilers. I was worried that we might have lost our early style play, but it's clear from this game we haven't. Very proud of our Quakes because they put in the work and had the composure early to play their game.

Are you quoting an RSL (Royal Shaft Licker) fan?

I read through some of their posts on various sites. A lot of them (perhaps understandably) thought that despite their losses to us they're still the best team. At this point with a THREE ZERO sweep, I'm not gonna spend any effort to try to convince them...:)

    Post any postgame interviews please!

We sure looked happy to be playing a home game. Nothing like the last two matches on the road.

Not that we were even trying to score when Sercan came on, but man does he looked woeful. It's like he has no confidence in his abilities. Pizzaro looked much better when he got a run out. When's the last day we can cut players without having to carry their salaries all season? We need to dump Sercan's 120k. He's just not worth it....

I hope JD and Yallop don't feel we are "good enough". We have cap space, roster space and an international slot open. One or two more good players would be great to add and make us unbeatable in the playoffs.

One more thing. Good to see us get 2 clean sheets in a row. I hope Busch is pushing his defenders to up their games. They gave very little room for SLC to score. I don't remember one tough save he had to make all game. I also loved his distribution. He threw it more than punted and we keep possession much better. I hope he keeps that up

Tyf had it right though, your team just didn't have its usual pizazz (I do credit the Quakes pressure for that). Also, we finally had a full week of rest and were very focused. Even with a red though, RSL need to be better than 0-5, period. And we shall meet again, and there will be more cards, you can bet your life. :)

Very happy with our play up until the red card. I don't think they had any real sniff at goal and we were making chances. And I was extremely happy that we then put our foot on the gas after going a man up. Great substitutions by Yallop. Men of the Match definitely Big Vic and Wondo, but, just a great team effort all the way around.

Just got back and it was an awesome game. This team is for real and I can just imagine what Baby Gerber & Co are thinking. Went to the Quakes dressing room and it was buzzing and everyone was reeling with happiness. Overheard Gordon telling Lenny he was looking for him in the stands when he scored. What can we say about Wondo? The man is a stud. He is finally the MLS version of Chinaglia! Incredible win! Quakes are the best team in the MLS and you better believe it!
