Looks like we are poised set another dubious MLS record: "It marked the sixth consecutive match, and the 25th time overall the Earthquakes have allowed multiple goals in a match this season, equaling the MLS single-season record set by Orlando City in 2018."
“Krazy George celebrates 50 years leading cheers for Bay Area’s teams” (San Jose Mercury News - Friday, 10/4/24) “Krazy George” Henderson leads the crowd before the start of the San Jose Earthquakes game against the LA Galaxy for their Leagues Cup match at PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif., on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Kind of stretching to have a "wig" for a guy who's mostly bald, but eh, why not? Pretty hard to market this team right now, so you gotta think of something.

Krazy George is 80 years old! He said he was able to quit his teaching gig in 1975(?), and do "cheerleading" full time. He says it's nice to have to only work 3 hours a week . Can't imagine that would have been enough for a living all those years but at one point he probably had multiple gigs per week, and some high profile stuff - NFL games, etc. He says the Quakes was his 1st gig, though his wiki page tells a slightly different story. He started cheerleading at SJSU while a student (and also a member of the National Championship Judo Team!). He was teaching at the old Buchser High (now a middle school I think?) when he was first hired to cheerlead by the California Golden Seals NHL team. Soon after someone on the Quakes noticed and hired him to cheerlead for $35 a game.
Not to mention that according to the U.S. Inflation Calculator, $35.00 in 1975 was worth about $204.79 in today’s dollars. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
True story from last night. My wife and I are up in Chico this weekend for my Chico State's parents weekend. My wife decided to go out with my Daughter and her friends to some frat parties and she played beer pong last night. Apparently things have changed a little since when we were kids... they now fill the cups with water and the players drink their own beer. This caught my wife by surprise
Shoulda told me!! @Beerking and I would have joined to watch the game tonight. ALSO - They've been filling beerpong cups with water since I was in high school, its gross any other way lol
Still doesn't sound like enough to make a living in 1975, but I'm sure his fee went up pretty quickly.
I’m not sure if Marie is taking over as left wing, or if Ian is just giving him an extended look. Maybe we ditch Pelle at the end of the season?
