Did Dallas give him a fruit basket?

Some of the old-timers here may know what I am talking about.

It’s good that we’re having a practice scrimmage or two. The guys need to get back into match fitness, or at least something close to it.

I notice Edwyn Mendoza going on the trip to SD and he also played a tiny bit vs. Xolos. Good to see Bruce is having a look at him because they probably need to make a decision about him at the end of the season. I think this is his 4th of even 5th year playing with Quakes 2 as a homegrown.

Also, haven’t seen any sign of Adimabua recently. Makes me think we’re gonna sign a striker.

"OK, so maybe it's not the World Cup, but it's a game that features 2 players who once played in a World Cup!" "The return of the longstanding competition!!"

Was Simon Elliot still a SJ player when he played at the World Cup? I remember him doing pretty well for New Zealand.

What other former players played at the World Cup? Donovan, Ching, Eddie Lewis? Mauricio Wright, Azizi?

Godoy and another Panamanian (name escapes) in 2018.

    Agoos in 2002.

    Off top of my head.

I heard Ted Ramey interviewing Beau when he said that Griezmann is his idol - the player he tries to model his game after. Pretty exciting for him to be able to play against Griezmann now. And of course he played against Messi also (and scored!).

So, will Orlando have two new strikers when we play them?

And we should have Timo back, and our new ‘Keeper, Angus. Any more changes for us? There’s a new back up striker, and DJ should be better integrated with our team.

Yeah, I’m still confident that we win.

    Go Quakesfans!!

I hear Angus is a reserve officer in the Royal Highland Fusiliers and all the women swooned when he came around!

FWIW - I always liked the way Griezmann played and will enjoy watching him - he should be well-rested! It's weird to me that he's a few months older than my youngest offspring and is on the downside of his career. Every time Goosport complains about being old I want to smack that smooth, unlined visage! :p:D

I can't believe we have a game on Wed and then LAG on Saturday.
Also, I can't believe -- no reminder emails from the Quakes about these games...

I guess the whole front office must have been focusing on the watch parties.
