Belichick famously said "on to Cincinnati" before a home game versus the Bengals. #nflexplainstheworld
Perhaps they meant something like “… on to facing Nashville” and just worded it awkwardly? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Nashville D is solid, they've only given up 27 goals in 28 games...the best in the league. Against our vaunted attack... well, this one looks like a grinding 0-0 or 1-1 game...if Luchi trots out his status quo 4-3-3 Now's the time for Luchi to dip into his bag of tricks, if he has any, to get the dormant attack going. I'm actually expecting him to change things up a bit...maybe see the actual 3-5-2/3-4-3... a lot of talk about Hoppe at ACM, but that's not a great place for him. He needs to be receiving the ball in and around the box instead of trying to be the set up guy...Espinoza should be the set up guy and primary shooting threat... and provide some up the gut runs off the hold up from Hoppe and Jebo. It would hopefully look just like it did on our first goal against RSL, Espinoza underneath slotting the ball to Jebo making a little well timed slip pass run. We're going to need a break or two to get over on Nashville. Set piece goal, homer PK...anything. Now would be a great time for Godoy to Godoy himself into two yellows and an early shower.
According to the MLS parity tea leaves, we should somehow win this game...Nash has two games in hand and 4 out of the 5 remaining games at home...they can drop road points and still be in good shape.
OTOH they dropped SKC 3-0 in KC so probably feeling like they're playing with house money, which is not a good thing for us. We want panicked teams. SKC at this point is not a bad team - they handled us pretty easily there, and Nashville pretty much stuffed them. It was 0.4xG (SKC) - to 0.7 (NASH).
We'll see what happens...I just read the injury report. Zimmerman is questionable. He left the KC game after 70 min...
Well, hopefully one of two things happen. 1) He doesn't play, or 2) He plays like he did against Wales.
It’s really too late to be worrying about getting points from every game. We should have had that worry from the start of the season, but clearly, we did not. Nashville are a better team than us, and even on the road they should clean our clocks. F!!! Go Quakesfans!!

The latest. Not sure it's better. Maybe they should say "Bringing the fight to Nashville at our house!" or something? `
Rodrigues and Zimmerman both listed as questionable... No one else listed out on the Quakes except Skahan (again) and of course Natahn.
The TV announcers for this game will be Mark Rogondino and Heath Pearce. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
They hate us too! Maybe they hate RottenFish and this is just a small part of MLS’s effort to push him out? Go Quakesfans!!
