PBP: San Jose Earthquakes - Los Angeles Galaxy (Saturday, 3/2) in-game thread [R]

I counted at least 4 times he received the ball, not once did he try to take on the defender. He's the opposite of Espinoza, he just layed the ball back to another quakes player.

As mentioned earlier, home opener against your rivals and this is the effort you put out?

Our defense is dire. Beason’s the worst MLS player since Tim Martin.

atmosphere is great, packed house. crowd getting increasingly frustrated with this Quakes performance though.

Galaxy have Gabriel Pec, a highly sought after, young Brazilian talent, and a DP, to bring off the bench. We have Preston Judd, a Galaxy castoff who wouldn’t even sniff their bench at this point. It speaks volumes lol

 

This was the kiss of death lol I pretty much guaranteed a Judd goal with this one

 

Let’s at least show some fire now for the last twenty….

 

we went from a team that hasn't gelled yet to a kickaround with walk on players who don't know each other....we're still playing preseason D, unfortunately we're in the second game of the real season...we'll be completely screwed if the D doesn't play as well or better than last season...cuz we still have problems scoring.

 

Thought we might have a TT sighting in this match.

 

Hope that it's an excuse for now, team needs "gelling" because I don't see the news guys been anything different than what we already had. We look worse than last yr.

The other thing that’s crazy is we have had all these highly touted youth players, great academy teams, great results at the youth level etc., but somehow none of them are even good enough to make the bench for an mls game? How can that be? We’re such a black hole at the senior level, no wonder guys like Luna and Barajas choose to leave lol
