That second Dallas goal is identical to another one earlier which Niko got beaten on a header. Why do we keep asking Niko to mark a much bigger guy? If it zonal defense and the other team is targeting Niko, then the coaches need to work on this.

First goal is more like Gruezo and Yueill ball watching. Velasco is their guy.

    SJ eliminated Dallas. Nice thought.

Revenge for stealing a point from us in the 1st game of the season on a last minute shot by Scott Sealy’s son (insult of insults) and setting our season off careening down the embankment. That’s what you get!!

Seems like a wee bit of a cherry pick? JFK, Sally Ride, John Steinbeck, Jenny Thompson, Katie Ledecky, Bill Hewlett, Ted Koppel, Jim Plunkett, Michelle Wie, etc…?

I thought the grinning face would be a dead giveaway, but I'll include a winking face next time, just for you.;)

Yep, take it and run with it!

If Kaval was still running things, he'd put out a quick "Kaval's Kickoff". "Quakes Finishing The Year Strong - Ready For Big Things Next Year!"

I hated Kaval's Kickoff. I always felt like he was just shooting shit out his ass to bait and switch.

Well at least he tried to communicate with the fans, but only when things were going good. We got nothing from Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Shawlee's done an interview or two but that's about it. That said, I'm no fan of what Kaval did to the A's, even if he's just a surrogate for Fish. Slimy as hell - "parallel paths", "ROI" - get outta here! I liked him better when he was here talking about "steep rakes".

Both Fisher and Kaval are Stanford MBAs so that alone is pretty damning from a Quakes perspective. But the rest of the campus views the business school with a bit of sideeye, for what it's worth. I would hate to put say, Ousseni Bouda in the same bucket lol.
Speaking of Elizabeth Holmes, I still think it's funny that she once dated and broke up with USSF CEO JT Batson to focus on her company.

I was in the ASSU student senate with Peter Thiel. Don't think we ever voted the same way on anything, but, hey, we should stereotype Stanford dudes because a lot of them are white.

Stanford has been Silicon Valley's golden child for so long, virtually immune to any critical examination. I think it's ok for the place/institution/students/alums to get some flak these days - I grew up watching sports there, enjoyed my days as an undergrad, and look forward to reunions, but I honestly find it funny and a bit refreshing when folks make fun of Stanford.

I do, too. But not if it's racially-tinged.

Race baiting is no different then being racist. For I personally do not hate ones skin, race or heritage.

I'm willing to bet at some point in ones life, we've all said "White Guy" "Black Guy".

At least its a proven fact, most people who graduate Stanford have a superiority complex. Either super successful, or mediocre lawyers. Business Department is great though at Stanford. Oregon hates Stanford too.

I am very bigoted against ignorant arrogant over grown man children, like Hulk Hogan.

50 years ago, when I was at USC, my friend at Cal told me that Cal students hated Stanford because they were rich and smart. But they hated USC more because we were rich and dumb.

What does that make Cal students - poor and dumb? :) (Just kidding, Cal people! I don't have any skin in that game, having attended neither school, and having friends from each).

His implication was that Cal students were poor and smart.

At least a few of us are Quakes fans, though!
A few years ago I went on the college tour at UCLA with my daughter. The tour guide -- in addition to an uncanny ability to walk backwards (which I know they all do, but it's still impressive) -- had no shortage of stories about USC and the respective pranks of the two schools. I guess that's what some people enjoy most about college?

I still have my FUCLA button. My fave souvenir from college. That was also our fave cheer during USC-UCLA games.
