105 degrees in Los Gatos at 5:30. Heading to the game in about 45 minutes.

Won't be that bad at the game. ~85 degrees at game time, dropping to 80 by the end. It'll be balmy but not that uncomfortable.

I'm going for a pre-game run for three miles in a few minutes. Will skip going to the game and watch them at home. Go Quakes!

I'm going to have to watch on delay. Oh well.

Also, I don't care about other local sports teams, or Bay Area sports teams. Go Quakes!!

It’s 94 degrees here on the grass at 6:30 pm.
I just realized this game is pointless, as FCD has no chance to make the playoffs

Starting Skahan at center forward after complaining a few weeks ago he didn't have any center forwards left (implying that he didn't consider Skahan a forward?). Or will Espinoza or Hernán play forward?

I thought Russell said we'd be playing some younger guys from the town? It's basically the same team as always. Just starting Verhoeven & skahan at forward. Bummed. I would have liked to have seen some younger kids called up.

The heat no doubt influenced the Earthquakes’ choice to wear the white secondary uniforms at home today. :D

Stadium looks empty. My friend who works for the yellow jackets says it’s really hot at the stadium, luckily she’s watching a luxury box so she’s under the roof.

Perhaps The Town FC is saving their players for their season finale and the playoffs after that?

well a small crowd means short lines at the food trucks and concession windows. (Haven't been to PPP/Avaya in years do they still do the food trucks on the lawn)?
