That should be how we advertise to other cities. Have a wonderful vacation in the nice and sunny Bay Area and watch your team win away from home. Guaranteed.

How dare you cop John Fisher’s Las Vegas A’s business plan. I think he said that the Sac ballpark would be a great place to come and watch Aaron Judge hit home runs or something to that effect. :facepalm

Yarbrough may be one of the worst GKs we ever had. He is as bad as, if not worse than, Daniel Vega. Play one of the other 15 GKs we have and it can't be any worse than a traffic cone.

Luchi needs to be fired tonight. Let the guys have a good Father's Day and then Ian Russell should start working on the next two games on Monday.

There is a huge drop off from Akapo to Marie. We were playing pretty well and scored the second goal. Then the subs came in and things got significantly worse. The more Luchu sub'ed, the worse it got. As much as I dislike Yueill and Niko was running our of steam, it was a bad idea to take out both of them. There was no midfield to transition from defense to offense. Morales is not the guy. The game got more disjointed with all the headless chickens--Skahan, Marie, Judd, Benji--on the field at the same time.

Costa had a good game on both sides of the ball.

Jebo and Pellegrino are luxury players. When they don't score on the one or two chances, they are absolutely useless.

The thing is for Yarbrough this wasn't even a particularly bad game lol this is just who he is

Who knows if Jacob Jackson is any good but he needs to be the next man up.

If blowing a 2-1 lead to lose 4-2 at home, taking the already dead last 29/29 team down to below 2/3 of a point per game, isn't enough to get Luchi fired, what would be??

Who knows if Ian Russell is any good at the MLS level but looks like he too is the next man up

Jebo is not a luxury player - he works hard in the buildup. Pellegrino is a poacher who can also run onto thru balls but needs to finish his chances because those are the the only things he really does to help the team.

No, he would never consider this pile of shit, he got screwed before he could do anything by Leitch, he would never trust that man again.

In you eyes he may be a good build up player. I don't agree but I don't want to argue with you. I want a CF, specifically if we only play one in the system, to score more goals. Let the others do the build up. The CF should get into scoring positions and take the chances. Just like I would not ask the CBs to take the throw-ins because others should do that instead.

I watched the Cincinnati goals again to try to understand what our problem is. I honestly don't understand all that well why our defense is so bad. There's Yarbrough, OK that's part of it. I don't know if he even really reacted much to any of those goals.

First goal - it was a bad pass by Yueill. Niko slipped but he slipped trying to get to the bad pass.

Second one - Acosta makes a great play, eluding a Munie tackle to play a perfect pass to Kubo. Beason tries to run him down and then gave him too much space for his cut-back.

Third one - we had about 5 guys around Acosta and no one could tackle him, Beason and Costa were ball watching while Kubo stood there 4 feet from the goal unmarked. :facepalm.

Fourth one - Morales fails on his tackle of Acosta from behind, and again Beason is ball watching, Costa is AWOL. Kubo is wide open straight in front of the goal.

So the themes? Yarbrough, and too much ball watching from the left side of the defense. I think ball watching has been the most common culprit for us this year along with goalkeeping.

Players were slipping all over the place in this one. It seems like every year there are 2-4 games at PayPal Park where guys are slipping everywhere... that's been the case from the opening of the stadium, what's up with that?
Here Lucho Acosta slipped at least twice in the first half. Then he had three assists in the second half. Assuming he changed his studs at halftime...

My point is, and I think you agree based on what you wrote, is that he's not a "luxury player" who just scores goals or he's not useful. It's more the opposite. He mixes it up, does the dirty work in midfield, and doesn't score enough goals. He's more of an anti-luxury player.

    I assume so too.

Miazga doesn't get hurt if he doesn't slip on the wet grass.

I hope a team files a formal complaint against the Earthquakes its a dangerous liability. They don't need to soak the living shit out of the grass before every game.

What does Jackson Yueill do well? I'm drawing a blank.

Accurate passing? Physical presence? Chance creation? Tackling? Defensive positioning? Ball carrying? Speed? All no.

I think it was after the third Cincinnati goal I saw Luchi making motions to Costa to push forward.

Yeah, that's the thing. At 3-2 you have to gamble to try to get the 4th goal. So I don't fault Costa too much for not "tracking back". The bigger problem was that Kubo is running straight down the middle of the box and Beason - the "left center back" is watching Acosta as Kubo slips behind him on his left side completely unmarked. And then the 3rd goal was also a ball watching problem - by both Beason and Costa.

Beason does some good things - he's a beast in the air, and also some not so good things, and both Rodrigues and Munie are more athletic. I think I'd try a Rodrigues-Munie back line when Rodrigues is back. Obviously we have nothing to lose.

Remember when you were 8 and you got upset because your mom wouldn't let you have some candy and you wanted everyone to know you were upset but when they asked you about it you wouldn't tell them why?

They could be. Some are probably "in storage" about 6 feet under :-(.
