We don't have a difference maker on the field, I just don't see us doing much. The worst part is, it looks that toluca are just taking it easy and they'll turn it on whenever they fell that enough is enough.
What's frustrating is that even when San Jose does a pretty good job of hounding Toluca and end up forcing a turnover, they are so far back in defense that they can't make a pass to diffuse the pressure and begin a string of possession. I'm actually not thinking the Quakes are playing too poorly considering the circumstances. It would be nice if these matches could all be done with all teams have at least gotten a few games into their season, but you have to do the best with what you get dealt.
I think roughness/brutish(ness)/clumsiness disguised as heart. His lack of technical skill really bugs me. Either way I don't like players of his type... they make the beautifull game less beautiful.
That would mess up our defensive structure, never going to happen. We'd be fine with a skilled wide mide, hopefully the new guy fits the bill.
I watched only the final 20 min, but we looked exactly ok. some moments of surprising creativity, followed by many moments of typical hoof ball. Each player had moments of good play, and maddening inconsistency. Lack of sharpness really hurts.
