thats a good question, I enjoyed this one so much I absolutely would rewatch it.

That and I wanna put my eyes more on other players I wasnt paying as much attention to. Cowell and Yueill were stealing my heart the whole time. I wanna look at Chofis the rest of his game after the goal, Tanner Beason, some of the guys i wasnt paying as close of attention to.

There was a moment in the 2H after that scrum in the goal box that looked like it would be a sure DC goal but somehow JT and maybe 2 other defenders got in the way of the ball. My head turned to watch the play proceed into DC's half. But from my peripheral vision I noticed that Flo was jumping up in the air, waving his fists and celebrating as he ran out of the penalty area. I wondered if any of that got on TV, because he was joyous.

Is that the same play you are thinking of?

Also another thought -- I think Paul Marie made at least 10 bad passes in the game, and several of them lead to shots on goal. I was glad when they took him out for that #2, who maybe isn't terribly mobile but seems to be a steady influence as a left FB.

t seemed like Chofis was 2nd in bad passes.

I also agree with whoever said that Tommy started off poorly, and it looked like DCU's game plan for 1H was to attack him. I know Tommy wants to play, but it doesn't seem like RB is a great place for him.

Flo was celebrating his own spectacular goal-saving play, which it absolutely was.

First game from Almeyda (that I've seen) where he changed the team's tactics (slightly) to deal with a specific opponent. I'd like to see more of that.

Here to post the same thing. That’s two spectacular saves so far this season by Flo!

Have you watched any Cincy games? They'd be better if he was starting for them.

Agree, Paul Marie had a bad game. And he put the team in a bad spot early taking a stupid yellow. Having a defender sitting on a yellow like that, that wasn't a goal saving challenge, weakens your defense for no good reason. He is cashing in the credits he earned with that goal, he may not have enough tokens left to start the next match.

He didn't really start off poorly. It's just that Danger mistook him for Yueill on a couple of bad plays by Jackson, one a horrible back pass that almost resulted in a DC goal, and another where he was chasing an attacker into the box from 2 steps behind. TT did fine. Not great, but fine: 86% passing, a key pass, a couple of tackles, etc. It was actually Yueill who started off badly, but he redeemed himself in a very big way.

If an announcer fairly frequently can't even name the right player, maybe it's time to hang it up, and give Danielle a chance.

We have had stupid yellows every game. Not for tactical fouls, but for what I'd call poor sportsmanship, like talking back or throwing the ball instead of handing it over to the opponent when it's their ball. I am guessing there's an increased emphasis on sportsmanship, and how hard is it to get the team to comply? My oldest son had poor impulse control as a child but by age 8 he had figured it out.

Au contraire, hubby & I both remarked how TT seemed not to have his head in the game the first 20-30 mins. We were at game, so not influenced by TV announcers. Also, I was not confusing Jackson with Tommy, but I had trouble with Flo vs TT since hair & numbers so similar.

I disagree. He was fine. He was marking his man, that’s what most of the 1st 20-30 was. You may have mixed him up with Flo at times as you say. Honestly though despite the early goal we didn’t play all that well as a team first 20 min. Even Jackson was playing quite badly at first.

Cincy shouldn't even be in MLS, they're a USL team that bribed their way in.

They are a team who got promoted, then completely screwed up their transition to the big league. They had to sack their upper management and bring in new and competent management, but they still have a slew of crap contracts that the first idiots signed. They’ll get their act together, The just shanked their first three seasons is all.

    Go Quakesfans!!

A shortened USOC would be the Quakes' easiest chance for a trophy since 2012... if it happens.

He was pumping up Remedi, after Remedi held off an attacker so the ball would go out of bounds.

Agreed. He started to do this more at the end of last season. The Quakes have aways to go, but in general, they did much better containing DC and getting goals on the counterattack. Obviously, it helps that Cade appears to be coming into his own (and DC United center defense lacked speed).

Good game, not great. We were up 2-1 in the first half, but DC was taking it to the Quakes towards the end of the first half. I was kind of expecting them to tie the game at 2-2 which would have made the second half very interesting.

JT and Marie had poor games, but whether offset by Cade (MOTM) and Yuell. I was most impressed with Cade's soft cross for Yuell's second goal than Yuell's Goal of the Week candidate. Cade is appearing more and more like the real deal.

The defense is just too shaky for this team to be a good to top team for a full season. Flo is getting a lot of favorable press in this thread, but he completely lost his mark which led to the first goal. He still gives way too much space and his decision making (diving in) at times is questionable for a center defender. TT is improving his defense which is a good sign, but it appears to be to the determent to his attacking play.

We were exposed too much in defense and better teams will take advantage... and better goalkeeping (Sietz on Cade's goal and in general).

I'm going to enjoy it while I can because I know it won't last.
