Not a good cameo from him, for sure. Fresh legs, that's about all he had tonight.

Zarquon does Rios suck!! I don’t want to see anyone defending him any more. He’s crap!! He’s a waste of a roster spot!!! Benji would have been better, and I’ve never seen him play. If Benji has peg leg he might still be better!!!!

Cowell and Yueill were absolute monsters.

Chofis even had himself a calmly taken goal. But the yellows are still a problem.

Alanis should be very concerned about Beason taking his spot long term

Rios.........jesus. Give us Benji next time. Really the only part that didn't feel like it belonged. Pretty dang awesome showing otherwise.

On the upside, we crushed them!!

Chofis was better, but still picked up another yellow card.
Remedi was better, but also picked up a yellow card.

We looked a little more cohesive, which is good, especially against a high pressing team.

The offense was on fire tonight!! Hot damn that was good. Cade, Chofis, Jackson, and with contributions from Espinoza and Fierro. Definitely good.

But we have to stop picking up the stupid cards!!!

    Go Quakesfans!!

Sweet win. Entertaining game. Quakes inconsistent at times but survived. JT this season makes me nervous....

Hopefully a road win next week against a good RSL team......

Nice to watch a Quakes game for the 2nd week in a row and not be in a pissed off mood when game is over.

Every game this season there's been at least one "we just gave them a goal" moment where somehow the opponent doesn't manage to score. Those have all been on JT, and we have been incredibly lucky in that regard.

I predict JT will be a very good GK--in a year or two. Until then, we will have to live with his development.

Sometimes the outlets aren't there, but boy, kicking it out of bounds, or a long-ball with a low chance of success >>>>>>>>>>>>>> passing right to an opponent in the box...

I missed the first 38 minutes--good thing nothing happened. During that time did we see any of the JY/Chofis/Remedi triangles that we saw against Dallas? I want to see more of that.

passing was surprisingly choppy and lackadaisical the beginning of the game, we turned to the "speed kills" counters very quickly because they were working

Glad Espinosa was typical in missing his open shot to let Jackson score his spectacular goal!

Good game. Cade Cowell is going to give the RBNY Caden a run for his money.

I don’t know why u guys are giving Rios such a hard time. He was good for 20 mins. I take him over Chofis in a heartbeat. Chofis makes me angry. Remedi looking better every game. Nice not to miss Wondo.

I'm kinda upset that we lost the possession battle in the 2nd half. Yeah, DC was throwing more into the attack obviously, but it was choppy all night, and there were a lot of mistakes. As the team that was "sitting back" (as much as you can under Almeyda with a lead), we could've taken the air out of the ball with a cleaner game.

It's a young season, but this felt like the kind of game a more composed, more technical opponent could take advantage. If we're playing a team like Nashville, 7-goal barn-burner, last goal wins. A team like Vancouver, SJ runs roughshod. A team like LAFC or LAG, I think it could get ugly for us.

Remedi definitely has the physical gifts for his position. His decision making is sometimes questionable. I'm glad there is competition (and backup) between him and Judson.

Yueill had a horrific first 10 minutes or so, and Danger twice blamed TT for his mess-ups (which he's done multiple times in the past). But obviously Jack made up for it in a big way. Chofis is pretty good, but I'll say it again. I think our best lineup is Judson-Remedi-Yueill CM, with Yueill playing a bit more forward than he usually does, and Chofis is your super sub when you need a goal.

I didn't really like how the game flowed in the 1st half. DC was cutting us up pretty good and kind of waltzing into the final 3rd. We were lucky it was 2-1. But in the 2nd half I thought the Quakes did a very good job of staying back a bit and keeping DC players in front of them. Not diving in and taking chances as much, and making DC really work for chances.

I think Rios was fine today, too.

Maybe the scariest thing about JT is that the old veteran he has to learn from is Vega...

It still makes me smile how much Almeyda is willing to play young players, and how much some of them have developed since he took over.

Not really. We had to play much more direct to counter how DC was playing.

We probably could've held onto it more but I think the strategy was to play back and counter. It was the counter where we were scoring our goals. And by playing back we really limited the good chances for DC in the 2nd half. It was a different way of taking the air out of the game while still staying a bit aggressive and trying to score more. I mean it worked very well IMO. I never thought the Quakes were in danger of losing the lead in the 2nd half. If we had spread out and tried to play possession, if we lose it, we were probably going to give up a good counter opportunity. DC had very little chance to counter in the 2nd half.
