clinical performance, great show from the back line missing two starters. near perfect effort, give it a 9 out of 10 you cant ask for much better. GREAT response from last week, thats the most important.

and that was probably the most important game of Ike's career and aside from gettng afterburned by Akpan he showed up and showed us he is worth keeping around

Rams showed why he still gets a seat at the table. Best beita game in weeks, flash didn't get a card, simon is hoping for a ticket back to england. And the ref sucked

I didn't think the ref was that bad.

Great game, fantastic job by everyone!

I feel for Wondo though. Whatever is haunting him, he needs to start scoring again..

As was the case in Montreal, every good team has an off night but I think Lenny's red card changed and/or lost that game. Incredible display by the Quakes tonight. I'm surprised no one else (around the MLS) is talking about this team because they are simply amazing!

Maybe the ref was better than he looked. I read that players respect him, but he was letting so much go by, and just making plain wrong calls, that the game could have gotten even chippier. He was overly focused on throw ins. Almost comical.

With a different referee, Flash would have gotten at least one yellow. He was taken down a few times, but the calls almost always went against him. He's a big guy, and the big guys get the blame.

Speaking of big guys, we were worried about defense without Muma, but our backline stepped up to plug most of the holes. We got lucky a few times, and there was that one moment when Busch was way out of the box and someone (?) cleared it off the line (jumbotron did not show enough replays for me!)

I might start Lenny, Flash, and Wondo. Feels like we have to jumpstart Wondo -- the poor guy beats himself up with every wretched misplaced shot. He's not someone who can let it go -- bet he's lying awake tonight replaying all those missed opportunities.

With Chivas on the horizon, I'd like to see us put away the game early and then try some new tactics. Give Garza a few more minutes and give Ballouchy time to get fired up beyond room temperature. And how about one of the other relatively untested guys instead of Khari, who remains predictable and unmomentous.

Speaking of big guys, it just my imagination, or has Ike bulked up a bit? He doesn't look like the scrawny tall guy anymore to me. Or maybe it's just the fat number he wears now (55). Maybe Muma's got him on his high protein / high fat baleadas and carne asada diet.

From the referee board (after the Seattle/Vancouver game last weekend):

If the Crapids hadn't folded sometime around the 40th minute, the game would have had a different feel to it. We still would have won, though. Win Pin 9.0 -- a dream come true.

The ref was dire. If I'm pissed at a ref when we accomplished a blowout, then the ref is pretty much as bad as at gets. It's good that Petrescu lost weight, but it didn't help him much....just dire officiating. We're lucky Ike Opara doesn't have a broken leg. Peter Walton has big problems since he's in total denial about some of these guys. Petrescu is the Canadian answer to a psychopath.

No, Petrescu is the Canadian answer to Jair Maruffo and Ricardo Salazar!
