Drop your linen and start your grinnin'. Just what we need, a Tuesday night game against a team that nobody's ever heard of. They don't make a rolleyes smiley big enough for what I'm feeling right now, so this will have to do:

CDS Vida hails from La Ceiba, Honduras, birthplace of Muma Bernardez and Marvin Chavez, and is the former team of Bernardez and Walter "we hardly knew ya" Martinez.

More interesting trivia than compelling story line. A free Dole banana to the first 5000 entrants. Will there be extras?

Maybe we are announcing that we're selling Muma to this club...?? Seems like a super odd friendly IMO.

Sound like the FO had an "A-Ha" moment. "Oh sh#t, we have to honor another bonus game or else we'll owe people money! Quick find an opponent!" Apparently the Washington Generals were busy.

I'd rather them use it as Ramiro Corrales testimonal or something...maybe in the new stadium.

    More like an "Uh-oh" moment.

How about current Quakes vs. traded / waived Quakes all-stars (I'm sure I'm missing some)...

"Underwhelming" could be the tagline for the entire season. My son has soccer practice on Tuesdays so we're going to have to give this one a miss.

Totally believable. Who wants to come play us? Why not just throw a STH party in lieu of BGB? Haven't we suffered enough?

Yes, at the new stadium, when it is completed at the end of November.

In the biggest outdoor bar in North America! That is a much better idea than playing CD Whoever from Honduras.

Didn't know people attended games because of the opponent... Yah this club we are playing isn't the sexiest, but does it matter? I'd go even if they were playing a 7th division women's team because we go to support OUR boys. Win or lose. Especially because its free (For STH)

It's not free--it's a sunk cost paid far in advance at the same price as real games. And there are additional costs of attending in terms of time and gas and parking (though it's quite easy not to pay for parking) that need to overcome by the attractiveness of the event in order for people to make the effort. I'll most likely go, but that's because I'm strange and not because I expect the entertainment value to surpass the cost of attending.

Bonus Game A was against La Liga champions and a UCL Finalist, I guess I'll give them a pass on this...

Incorrect, we had to pay for that game no matter who we were. Which was kind of lame, because we've gotten premier league teams as Bonus Game opponents before.

Edit: I mean pay more I guess, not just pay. As somebody pointed out, you're already paying for the Bonus Games as a STH, just in advance.
