I wasn't serious about bringing in Ureña of course.

Great to see that Quincy is going to fire the siren. That’s cool. I’d like to see more retired Quakes involved with the team.
Maybe we’ll get some magic mojo from having Quincy in the house?

I still expect us to lose, probably by two or three goals.

    Go Quakesfans!!

If we're down maybe we can sign in to a 1-game deal. We may need all the forwards we can find.

Good little interview - kept it light but I've always liked Murph. He's not completely clueless about the Quakes and he isn't afraid to say he likes soccer. Couple things of note:

    - Bruce seemed confident that the "other games" will go our way, at least sufficiently so. He said if we win we will make the playoffs. Of course he may have been hyping the game a little bit. He wants people to come out.

    - Bruce seems to really like it here. He says he lives in Los Gatos, there are lots of good restaurants, the people are all great to work with, and he loves the weather. He also said he really likes PPP, and compared it very favorably of course to playing in a 60k football stadium in NE.

I’m not sure that I like the “fight” language.

It just sounds wrong. Am I nuts?

Quakes are “fighting” for a spot in the postseason? Seems OK to me.

It's the good fight. Not the fouling-our-opponents fight.

They're fighting for a spot in the wildcard game to get into the post season. The wildcard games are not the playoffs.

Postseason is, by definition, after the season, so the wildcard play-in game subsequent to the regular season is indeed the postseason.

Yes I’ve been careful to use the term “postseason” rather than “playoffs” to avoid that whole debate.

Yes they are. They are post season games, and part of the playoffs.
