I wonder how long it's going to be until Dylan the soccer mom mentions is nationally ranked and gets a Euro tryout.
Got a YouTube clip? And yes, Taylor is nationally ranked --- #Last on my list of suitable USMNT forwards.
Amazingly enough, I found a video of this: http://www.kickmedic.com/InAction.wmv Taylor's not nearly as uncomfortable in front of the camera as the FSC commercial I saw, but you get the point. This is like the next generation of StarKick.
This reminds me of an old Seinfeld line "soap-on-a-rope ... that comes in handy; a lot of times in the shower I want to hang myself".
To seriously try to answer the original question: I realize now that I've seen the star Conor play. He was in the SCU v USF game last fall. Unfortunately, I didn't know I was watching a 'nationally ranked' player and didn't key on him. Frankly, he did not stand out, as I have no memory of him.
I'm partial to a central midfield tandem of Maurice Edu and Freddy Adu and a right flank of Lee Nguyen in midfield and Marvell Wynne at right back.
Nice. Good one. And you know what? We will probably see this sooner than later. Just imagine some English bloke muffing all the names on sequence of passes, I'd go Brazilian and use first names!
Fine that you'd use first names but, frankly, I don't really care how you choose to groom your poonahn.
You know, Taylor is a bright guy, and you can just tell he knows he pitching something ridiculous here. But shit, I have a hard time criticizing him for doing this because you know he got paid possibly up to $10,000 for this commercial. And considering he is underpaid in MLS (even with the new contract) I'm all for him and all the other players to make any extra money they can anyway they can. But damn that is pretty funny stuff. I'm sure his teammates ripped him for it.
Dude... Did you notice Taylor trying really hard to keep from cracking up after he says "promote the sport?" And how about the "drill" he does to demonstrate how to use the kickmedic? That's pure class. Seriously, is $10k in his bank account worth the damage he's doing to all the potential American joga bonitas out there?? Hell, Uncle Sam's army will get like $3k of it anyways.
I dunno... I have no clue why anyone would want to practice dribbling with one of those, but it seems like it could be useful for beginners working on push passes or shooting.
Ya, but you need a longer rope for that, like the Twellman product. You don't want it for juggling ... even if you are nationally ranked.
