Investors are coming, obviously. Because WHO WOULDN'T WANT A TEAM THAT'S A WINNER, READY-MADE, ALREADY THERE?
Good to hear that the NASL is putting in an effort to help the Deltas. I know we are talking about a 1 in a million chance of them surviving; it is still better that 0. The NASL found an owner with Jacksonville, so maybe they can do the same here? Then again, I haven't won the Jackpot in Powerball when I buy a ticket so what do I know?
Nope LOL. Maybe I would sponsor a U8 team, but I wouldn't want to end up on one of those "lottery winners who lost it all" listicles.
We all know some sad stories of athletes, actors and musicians who have lost it all, but I recall reading a list that someone put out about lottery winners who lost it all in very bad/sad way a while back........and it was beyond depressing. Families completely destroyed, murders, suicides, people going mental under the stress of it all. Just brutal stuff. Yeah....minor league soccer is the last thing I would invest in.
You would if you could get promoted. Everybody would if they could get promoted. Money just prints itself then.
TBF kenn....since we are early in the game here I might just try and buy a team and try to get it promoted in a year. I would sell it either way and feel pretty confidant I wouldn't lose money if I didn't, and sell it for a very nice profit if I did. Why? A lot of ignorant suckers out there with regards to the game, and I would be selling/fostering contacts here and overseas from day one. Of course after a few seasons I would never do it. It would be a first in/first out, don't be greedy proposition. There would be plenty of fools to cover my a** early on.

Funny how Earthquakes FC and the other goobers aren't around here. "But-but... they're a WINNING team! Rich people love WINNING teams!"
Not unusual. I sometimes wonder what ever happened to the worms around here who followed the fake Cosmos and never seemed to have a problem shoveling their s*** at NYCFC. Onionsack, Mr Smarty Pants and several others.
The old "deserves" line.....true internet poster quality response there. Puerto Rico anyone....anyone?
Including penske, who said the Belmont stadium was “a done deal” and would be announced after the holidays...three years ago.
It's pretty embarrassing when you have a championship team in one of the most iconic cities in America and you can't make it work. (Wait...am I talking about the Deltas or the Cosmos...?!)
SF, I feel your pain...I drove around Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale today. Depressing beyond words...the place looks abandoned, just waiting for the graffiti artists to claim it. Perhaps another investor will come in and try to build upon the foundation that was laid this season by the Deltas.
