Sadly the Flash folded in the last year or so. The Sockers are under a different ownership group. As are the Gaucho's (spelling ?) which is a D3 team.

To add to "Houndguy", the USL tok control of the Flash just prior to the 2001 A-League season. (The old owership leaving the entire league in the hole!) The Sand Diego Nomads, a strong local youth club managed the team for the season but could not afford to continue after that. The San Diego Gauchos are an expansion club, started in 2002, which plays in the USL's D3 (USA 3rd Division).

The San Diego Sockers are an INDOOR team that was recently playing in the WISL. With the folding(?) and/or merger of the WISL with the now-MISL (former NPSL), the Sockers play in the eight-team league, which runs October through April.
