Hey Guys! I'm looking at colleges and SDSU is on the top of my list. I was wondering if anybody could give me more information than what seems to be on the SDSU site. I would be a very happy person. And if you guys have any info about other Unis and Colleges in SD that offer a dance program, club soccer and Political Science as a major, i would enjoy looking at those too and putting them on my list. Thank you Sharie!
Too bad "party school" is the first association that comes to most people's minds when it comes to SDSU. UCSD has club soccer, a dance program, and poli sci as a major, in case you were wondering. Send me a PM if you want more info about UCSD (I just graduated).
UCSD definitely has a better reputation. I got rejected from UCSD but accepted to SDSU, if that gives you any idea on the reputation. I actually know lots of people that go to SDSU, and I probably would've went there if I didn't go where I am now.
Word Association SDSU = Ghetto! I went there for a visitation recently.... It was crossed off my list before you could say "wow, this is bad" UCSD would be my choice, but like BD said, it is HIGHLY selective.
Re: Re: Re: San Diego State Uni I go to a small private school called Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ. I'm majoring in Aerospace Engineering, but I'm graduating (aka unemployment ) in December.
Wow, aren't any Aztecs or Aztecas going to defend the school's honor? It does have many positive attributes, and they don't all have to do with alcohol.
ok I have another question. How far is Orange County from SD? and how far is AIU and SDSU from Torero? ok one more question. Is there an indoor women's soccer league somewhere around these 2 school?
it takes and hour and 15 minutes from Irvine( where i live and right in Orange County) to the Torero Stadium in San Diego with NO TRAFFIC at all. its about 82 miles from irvine. but with traffic<-- which happens a lot its around 1 hour and 30 to whatever. you can try UC of Irvine, although it might be on the same level of pickniness as UCSD. it has a very nice dance program, soccer team (and a lot of club soccer around) and i think it offers political science as a major.
SDSU is about 10 miles from Torero. I assume that AIU means Alliant International? If so, that is about 12 miles away.
How picky could they be - they let me in!? They do have a very good poli sci program. It's been a long time, but I think I got one of those poli sci degrees from there. I don't know anything about the programs, but here is a site for an indoor soccer league in OC. http://www.arenasoccerparks.com/ Woops! I just noticed you were looking for SD indoor. Sorry about that. I will leave the OC site just in case others are interested.
the only reason that i know for a fact that UCs won't let me in is because i haven't taken 3 SATIIs which sucks and idon't have the time or money to take them.
Okay. I don't mind you folks associating the university with words such as ghetto, party school, and whatever other derogatory words you can come up with. You are right, but not precisely. I'm a sophomore there and so far, I have no regrets whatsoever of atteding it. After all, they have a very good accounting program. But, if only UCSD offers my degree (bus. admin w/ emphasis in accounting), you know where I would have chosen to go (yeah, UCSD admitted me). Having a good education always boils down on how a student chooses to perform in school. You can get a good education in SDSU if you choose to. -Tony
