Where are all the San Diego Galaxy fans gathering to watch the season opener this Saturday? Any ideas?
Probably my living room, but if someone hears of a livelier place to watch a game, I'm up for it ! OC does a good job of gathering on this board. Perhaps SD could do the same? BTW: Anyone else from America's Finest City/County thinking about heading up to Fullerton for the Nexaca game?
I might be up for going, but I would have to come back that night. Maybe we should keep this thread open for SD Galaxy fans and season ticket holders who couldn't care less about the Galaxy, like me.
Count me in as a San Diego fan of the LA Galaxy. I had a 5 game package last season, and I'm probably going to get one again for this season. I want to make sure I'm at the home opener in June. And I try to sit/stand with the Riot Squad. As for the season opener on Saturday, I have a class and I can't go anywhere for a viewing, but I'd be up for any future get-togethers. I've been to a few games at the Princess Pub in Little Italy. I don't know if they're getting the shootout package though. But I am getting the shootout package for my own TV! I'm also going to try and make the Necaxa game in Fullerton. I'll be with the Riot Squad there too. It's really the best way to see and feel the game. And by the way, San Diego fans should try and support our division 3 pro team, the San Diego Gauchos. I was at all the games last season, and it's nice to have some decent soccer to watch locally. See you there!
We've got three of us (including a Revs fan) who were thinking of watching Saturday's game at Oggi's Pizza & Brewing Co. in Carmel Mtn. Ranch. I've got the Shootout package at home as well, but thought it might be fun to kick off the year with a group of MLS fans. Galaxy haters are welcome. Come for the beer and food. Four of us will be going back to Cal State Fullerton for the Nacaxa game. We went for the Motagua victory (crowd was OK), and we have four season seats at Victoria St. The LA Riot Squad is a great group. Eric, we'll look for you there next time.
Never mind... looks as though I'm going to be up in LA that morning, so I'll have to find wherever it is the Angelenos gather to watch our Gs. (Somehow Finance class doesn't recognize the time value of Soccer ). If Oggis plays the Gs games, though, maybe that CMR location could turn into a steady gathering place for us.
The Riot Squad will be at CBC on Saturday to watch the match. Go to the Riot Squad site to find out more info on where it is and how to get there.
I forgot to mention, but I spoke with Time Warner Cable yesterday and the MLS Shootout is 1/2 price if you already have digital cable and Roadrunner from them. That's $25! Now I'm glad I only bought the 10-game season ticket for Victoria St.
probably won't be gettin' together to watch too many Galaxy games...enjoy the pleasure of the Shootout too much at home with my gal... i will be headed to the necaxa game by my lonesome...will no doubt end up in the riot squad section.... see ya there.
Would you like company for the Necaxa game? There are several of us that would like to go from Poway/RB area.
Some cousins of mine will be coming to some Galaxy games from San Diego. They always do for the July 4th game. Go Galaxy
What packages do you guys have? Maybe we can carpool for some of the games. I have the 10 game package.
I've got a group of us with two 10-game packages and four 5-game packages all together behind the goal. We're from all over SD County.
Cool. I'm actually in the Upper Deck, but I imagine we can still all head up there together. Anybody here play in any leagues? I'm in the Scripps Ranch Old Pros Sunday league.
Most of us play in the Huff 'N Puff league over-30 A division. Our home field is in Poway where we play 90% of our games. We also have an over-40 and over-50 Poway Vaqueros Viejos team.
can't get away. (will be watching MLS games anyway on Shootout late in afternoon.) called up sales rep and they're mailing tix out next week. i guess i'll have to wait to see the stadium.
Its good to know that there are Galaxy fans in SD. We are thinking about moving to SD. WHats the soccer scene like in general. It looks like the county league is the big one there?
