I could use this moment to make some comments but I won't. Anyone know who this group that hacked it is and if they might be aligned with a rival country?

It's a bunch of script kiddies using pre-compiled scripts. They've hit sites on every continent, including Argentina, Britain, Belgium, and obviously the U.S. In other words, just a bunch of lonely virgins.

    Pontianak is in Indonesia.

For what it's worth, a bogel is a term for a Malay spambot and Pontianak is a vampire in Malay folklore..

PHP-based websites that are not properly secured are hacks waiting to happen. Sucks, and I really hope they get it squared away ASAP.

IMHO they didn't intentionally target the site because it's a US supporter site, they just happened to come across it during scans and found it was vulnerable. That's about it, and that's what happens to a lot of compromised sites I see.
