Anyone have an update on the sale of tickets through Sam's Army? The site is still saying that they'll fix their problems "ASAP". I sent in an email with my ticket request but haven't heard anything. Just want to know if I should start scrambling for tickets from another source.
You should just buy your tickets through The American Outlaws. That's what I did and tons of other people too. American Outlaws are well organized.
...and essentially, you'll be getting the same type of tickets as Sam's Army. If you just need to be in the supporters' section, buy from AO now.
Ahh Geocities. I remember when they were big and let you pick your "address" on a street for what your homepage URL was. Man I feel old I had the same issue with SA. They fixed everything and I resubmitted my order yesterday with no problems.
I ordered my tickets from SA on the day they came out, and i dont think i encountered any problems , what was wrong with the site?
My guess is PayPal locked them temporarily. Think of it like a credit card. If it sits in your wallet for months with no use then within 48 hours starts getting hammered it will set off flags.
Hampton Inn on High Street. 7 miles from the Airport, and 3.25 miles from the Stadium. 5 min. walk to the Arena District where there is a good irish pub and a few others pubs and clubs. O'Shaugnessy's is there, which was the Supporters Pub the night before the US/Mexico match in Sept. 2005. Rooms are nice, and so is the free breakfast in the morning (at the Hampton Inn, not the pub...LOL).
Ordered my tickets on the first day. Most of the riot squad and I are staying at the double tree suites on front st. .8 miles from the actual Arena. If you don't have a preference on hotels, use hotwire.com and do a lowball 60 buck a night bid on one of their 4 star selections. Columbus is not a getaway in mid February and you should get your hotel cheap.
I'm curious. Is there anything being done to prevent Mexican fans from buying Sam's Army tickets? I'm assuming not just because I don't know how you could given that you don't have to be a member to buy tickets. So are we just hoping Mexican fans in good faith don't want to sit in our section?
Patfan1 can correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe the 'Powers that Be' at S.A. are indeed vetting out buyers as best as possible.
My buddy and I are staying there too. Since this is the official crew hotel, I'm hoping for some Nat sightings as well.
I think, if I read right, Double Tree is also the official hotel of US soccer, so we will probably be in the same hotel as the team.
This may be old information. I have booked through the US Soccer rate as recent as MLS Cup weekend '08, but now I get this when going to the Doubletree/US Soccer site: http://doubletree.hilton.com/en/dt/...=OM,DT,Soccer,SpecialsS&it=Specials,DTsoccerS
This may be a stupid question, but indulge me. The Sam's Army section is open for all, not just those with a ticket in that specific section? right?
