I've always wanted to make one of these. :)

SO! If the Rosanero aren't reved up for this game, then we are in trouble for the last 7 match days. One point, one place, and the difference (possibly) between playing in the Champion's League or the UEFA Cup is most assuridly on the line. This will be a game of two factors main factors, Palermo's horrid away record, and Samps horrid defence. The odds of both these shortcomings showing up are good, and a draw of 2-2, 3-3 is quite possible. We are without Corini, from the derby, and Samp are without Falcone and Zeoni, which means if Toni, Brienza, and Zauli can keep the ball and push forward, I think we can take the day, and 3 VERY crucial points. The loser is pretty much consigned to the Cup, so everything will be left on the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

I'm calling 3-2, two for Toni to take the record, and one for Brienza.

    VOLARE, PALERMO! VOLARE!

    Probable starting XI (From Goal.com):

    Sampdoria (4-4-2):
Antonioli - Sacchetti, Castellini, Pavan, Pisano - Diana, Palombo, Volpi, Tonetto – Flachi, Rossini.

    Palermo (4-2-3-1):
Guardalben; Zaccardo, Biava, Barzagli, Grosso; Brienza, Barone; Santana, Mutarelli; Zauli Toni

Standard channels. RAI and I think it's on an hour delay in Canada.

I got this running on Eurosport, but if you find a webcast, let me know!

Palermo deserved the win, or at least the tie. They did not deserve to lose and Sampdoria certainly did not deserve to win. The penalty was more thatn questionable. Yes, the ball struck Grosso's arm, but it was clearly involuntary. Grosso was definitely shielding his face and the play was too fast for it to even be considered semi-intentional. The only surprise was the benefitting team was not Juvenus.

Anyway, continue the fight Palermo, you guys have a good squad and still have a chance at Champions.

The officiating this game was the worst I've seen in a long time. And that's before the rediculous penalty kick they awarded to Sampdoria. Dreadful!!!!!!! Absolutely terrible call.

And Flachi is just pathetic. He'll lie on the ground crying if a Palermo player even ran near him. Pathetic. Palermo dominated this game, and without the poor officiating, they would not have lost.
