In Bulgaria, there is a common saying that is used to cheer on sports teams and you see on scarves flags and so on. It is the equivalent of 'Go team' here in the States. Supporters of Levski or CSKA will say "Samo Levski" or "Samo CSKA" as the case may be. "Samo" means "only" in Bulgarian. It is my idea to incorporate something like this into a banner to display in the Nest for our first home game. It would be "Samo United" and we could write it in the Bulgarian language. I believe it would look something like this... ÑÀÌÎ ÞÍÀÉÒÅÄ If what I've written above comes out as jibberish, then it means you don't have Cyrillic installed as one of the additional languages for your browser. I'm not 100% sure how I got it to show up, but if anyone needs help I can probably figure it out again. I think it would be a really nice gesture to welcome our Bulgarians to the team. I have never made a banner to display at the games am not quite sure how. I'm not thinking huge, but maybe 4' x 6' or 6' x 8'. Something along those lines. I'm thinking of a black background, three horizontal white stripes in the middle, with Samo on top and United on bottom. Is anyone interested in helping me with this project?
Albion Road, I saw what you put together and I immediately knew you were trying to say, "ONLY United" The term "Samo" means the same thing in Serbian, but I also can't write it in cyrillic since I don't have the cyrillic character set loaded on my system either. I like that theme....... for the supporters clubs and fans.
Re: Re: Samo United Since I stand in the Nest, I was hoping to get some feedback from there and display it there. But if I don't get any and I go through with making the sign, I will contact you. Thanks.
