Has anyone been able to connect the dots and figure out why/how Leganes has shown such a seemingly substantial interest in American players, including somewhat-obscure ones, recently? A quick scan of past threads here also notes Khatoun, Ide, Adeniran and "Luque" Queiroz. Maybe it's just coincidence, or maybe there's something obvious I'm missing...
The only thing I can conceivably think of — you can get Americans players, particularly younger ones, on the cheap. Leganés is hardly rolling in the dough.
Sure, but that's hardly news, and hardly unique to Leganés. You can also get USYNT players on the cheap, not just under-the-radar ones. It doesn't seem impossible that they have some kind of scout/associate working on this market, though it's also possible that they're just trying to develop a reputation as a place that will give you a shot if you come on trial. Or a bunch of other things for that matter. I honestly don't know.

Ham-Kam's manager, Kjetil Rekdal, left for Rosenborg and almost immediately signed Rogers. That has to bode well for Sam. He knows the manager. Nice step up to a historic club like Rosenborg. Though they haven't quite been a force like they once were.
