Cool to see some nice progression in this young mans career. I hope he does well for Rosenborg. The jump off point from there can take him to quite a nice level of play.
And more importantly..... one of the success stories of recent USL Championship players making the jump from USLC to Europe. We saw several players make moves to respectable leagues in the Winter window. I hope to see it continue. I want the USLC to be another pathway to Europe.

Amazing piece of business by Ham-Kam. They signed Sam to a permanent deal in January after his loan and flip him a month later to Rosenberg. Maybe Rekdal as a parting gesture said y’all sign Sam and I’l have RBK pay y’all $1M so we can have him. That way everyone is happy and you have $1M to find several players to keep you in the Eliteserien this season.
Just looked up his Wikipedia page and noticed he shares a birthday with Norway. I hold that it’s the best national day celebration… breakfast with champagne for the adults, cava for the students, then running around town in 200-year old clothing, drinking beer, eating ice cream (even if it’s snowing) and passing out by 8pm.

Actually managed to attend this one, Lerkendal is a nice little stadium. Rogers was good… does the basics well, easily a top third Eliteserien defender. Be interesting to see how he develops because good showings in Norway can garner interesting moves in Europe. Now I’m not a Rosenborg supporter in any sense so I can say this with some degree of neutrality, but oh. my. goodness. Haugesund’s first in this 3-3 draw came via a penalty that might be the worst call I’ve seen at nearly any level in my life. I mean down to CIF, down to AYSO, everything. Made PRO refs look like the top of their profession. And to make it worse he turned his back to the large screen as it showed the clearly obvious in three replays from different angles. The national broadcaster (NRK) said it was so obvious that even the Man on the Moon could see it was no penalty.
