Ok, Super Rich in comparison to the other ownership groups. Like Carlos Slim and Bill Gates reveal they love Sacramento and finance the team or something ridiculous like that. All hypothetical.

    Have they been approached?

Bill and I are having lunch this weekend. I'll feel out his interest in soccer, maybe make a casual suggestion about investments.

Instead of buying lunch, have him buy you a boat! :)

Also maybe Braun and Stewart. Wouldn't rule out Alvarez.

Lopez has the quality. Obviously Braun has been there, and not counting the guys who are loans(Jahn, Evans, Thompson, Gleeson), I would agree maybe Stewart. I love Guzman and Klimenta, they would need to prove themselves more and see what they could do at that level.

Historically, 5-6 or so will make it, but by year 2 most are gone. I think Zach Scott of Sounders is still there, no one at Portland or Vancouver are still there. Montreal? I don't think so either.

It will be interesting how many minutes the USL guys Orlando promotes will get minutes.

RoRo is class for sure. I've been impressed with Stewart, Klimenta and Guzman.

I like Mirkovic, but wish he didn't pick up so many damn card. Vuckovic could be a player, but he's starting to get up there in age. Delbridge is young (22) and I see some potential in him.

Added Fochive, Thompson, Koval, and Jahn (again). Also added new signee Kiffee and removed Bond, whom the team just released.

Thompson got his first substantial minutes (and when I say that, I mean a whopping 20 minutes) for the Quakes last night in a 0-5 massacre. I have a feeling we won't see him back in Sacramento. Coach Watson has finally been forced to play him and with the writing on the wall he should be willing or maybe forced to play Thompson.

How's Schuler been? I watched him against Toluca and I liked him, but it doesn't look like he get's a lot of playing time. Why not loan him to us?

Yeah, you're probably right. Including last night, SJ has four games in two weeks. It seems like there should be plenty of minutes there for TT, especially while Djalo is out.

Assuming, of course, that the dynamic Atiba Harris doesn't take all the minutes.

Too bad he's likely gone, though. SRFC has six games in the next two weeks.

Inexplicably, the SJ FO has decided to carry anywhere from one to five (depending on how players on loan and on IR are counted) roster spots. So, maybe if they were to sign a full roster, they would loan him.

USLPro roster freeze deadline was yesterday. SRFC made a few moves.

Out: George Fochive and Alvas Powell, both recalled by Timbers.
In (pending league approval): MF Augustin Cazarez and F Ismar Tandir.

Cazarez is 25 and just played for Ventura County Fusion. He was 2nd in appearances and 3rd in minutes played, scoring one goal. Attended St. Mary's College where he was first team West Coast Conference.

Tandir is just 19 and came up through NY Red Bull academy and then played on the U-19 team of FC Sochaux Montebeliard of French Ligue 2 (signing with them while the club was still in Ligue 1). He is the most intriguing of the two signings. Read more here:

Interestingly, TT, Koval and Adam Jahn are still listed on the team's roster. You would THINK that TT would stay with the 'Quakes now that they are all but mathematically eliminated from the playoffs to get real minutes with the big club, but we'll see.

Do we have some special relationship with Ventura? I always see players being transferred from there.

"close by" is probably the main reason. Both they and Fresno are well run PDL clubs, probably good, cheap places for talent at USL Pro level.

Graham Smith, Republic technical director, was the Fusion's coach, and is still involved with the club.

I have three games in person under my belt now, and have to agree on Klimenta. He's an excellent defender and seems pretty comfortable receiving and staying on the ball on the overlapping runs. In fact, I think they could get him the ball more.

Cal Blues, out of Roseville/Placer county, is now called the Galaxy Blues. They became a Galaxy Alliance club member early this year. Galaxy Blues is run by Gregg Thompson, Tommy Thompson's dad.

    Well, now that's awkward.
