I've seen this statement. I've not seen the team making any announcement other than a 4pm party. A reporter mentioned the 10:30am press conference. That's like a league press conference featuring Sac Republic - just like the other expansion announcement press conferences.
Hey, grown up mature adult type, what do think the party is for, then? Sheesh. I get Knave's DOOM thing. It is funny. Are you apart of that? Or is this what you genuinely think & you are just trolling?
No, I'm saying they're in. The people trying to parse it into something other than what is really happening are the ones that need to relax and enjoy.
Coolbeans. I mean, when the announcement date & time is on the MLS website, it's happening. It does not get more officially unofficial than that. Or should that be unofficially official? Hmmm....
Saw this on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/SacRepubli...he_lottery_literally/?st=k1wsfgd8&sh=3a62663a Since we all know we're doomed, this must be some sort of cruel trick.
And then there's this: https://www.facebook.com/SacRepublicFC/photos/a.237383089726179/1732740816857058 It appears the MLS Cup trophy will be at Solomon's Deli on Monday morning before the announcement. Not foreshadowing at all, right?
OK, the doom jokes were funny for a while, now it's getting ridiculous. The annoucement was official and it wasnt like any other because the Republic brand is actually entering MLS and not some generic team.
Congrats SRFC fans and welcome to the league! There's no way they would schedule this press conference and after party just to announce that Don Garber saved 15% with GEICO. Or is there?
Triggered much?? Relax brother, it’s all in good fun. Well, half fun and half frustration.....and full doom. ;-)
There is an Al Pacino movie where the cops send a letter to all these wanted people that they have won free Yankees tickets and when they show up to get them they all get arrested. Might be Sea of Love. Unsure.
U.S. Marshals Service actually did that back in '85 with the lure of free Redskins tickets. Edit: link - https://www.usmarshals.gov/history/fist/football.htm
