My son, who graduated Davis HS last year and is well connected with many of the soccer players, tells me that Villegas is crazy good, and has drawn interest from EPL academies.

So that is where Anthony Chimienti ended up? Wonder if he ever got a real job?

Wow, well not surprising if he's on the U18 national team. I'll keep an eye out for him

Also note that the MLS reserve squad "will be made up in part of players from the San Jose Earthquakes"

I assume the rest will be trialists.

I have to agree with Knave here . . . excellent choice in uniqueness to the Sacramento & Central Valley area . . . differentiation from the Bay Area . . . great color scheme (there is also a hint of greenish in their under-feathering as well which would be a great 3rd strip color or a good accent color to the main Blue/Black/White/Yellow base).

It also immediately begs the questions, "What is a Magpie?" and "What do they have to do with Sacramento?" Both of which begin to tell the story of a bigger than usual bird found ONLY in the immediate area that has survived and adapted among much change to the landscape and their habitat.
They are also immediately very recognizable by everyone in the area, and beloved by children.
The possibilities for an attractive badge, colors and uniforms are multiple.

They speak to the community from which they come as "one of us" and not 'imported' from somewhere else!

Here they are . . . YOUR . . . Sacramento Magpies FC !!! . . . I can see the team coming out of the tunnel now for their first game!

Tomorrow is the big day, the name and logo gets revealed to the public. I'm looking forward to it. Looks like tickets will go on sale in September, I wonder what the prices will be. I've checked the ticket prices for other USL teams and I've seen tickets vary drastically.

Today is the big day. Hoping a strong breeze comes through and blows out the heat that looks like we're in for. Can't wait to see the city out there and the big revealing!

And absolutely no one is surprised that you were wrong.

    Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

Still harping on that post? I actually stopped caring and completely forgot I even posted that when I had 3 sudden deaths in my family in the last 6 months.

    Never gets old.

So other than selling out almost every game and probably finishing second in the league, they didn't do anything right.

    Trust me, he said.

Dude why are you continuing to attack and still harping on that one post from over a year ago? As you can see from my previous post on June 25th, I've already told you , with the 3 recent deaths in my family in the last 6-8 months, do you really think I remember or care about what I posted almost 2 years ago? I mean get over it already!
