Is it too early for this thread or is it too late? Keegan hasn't got a clue honestly but to be fair he's got a team of muppets to work with and I think he gets us relegated. Next up Alan Shearer
Your post is rather curious especially coupled with your signature " Dream of avoiding relegation." What's ridiculous? Kevin Keegan was hired after not watching one football game in the last three years? Big Sam was sacked? Ashley wanted Harry Redknapp first? Dennis Wise is director of football? Terry McDermott is our #2? We might get relegated? Ashley wears a Smith shirt into the away stands and takes management advice from the traveling supporters? Villa fans sang "There's only one Keegan" only to be joined by the same traveling supporters after Carew completed his hattrick? Keegan wants to sign David Beckham and Thierry Henry? That we hired an manager who admits "tactics aren't my strong suit"?
It crossed my mind but I expected some sort of new manager bounce. Instead we look worse. I'm not even really calling for him to be sacked I just want to see what everyone else is thinking.
Here we go again. The sooner we all take mplsTOON's old adage that we are Aeroflot and accept that we are Aeroflot and probably always will be Aeroflot, the better off we'll be.
Well, someone had to start the thread eventually. I would have started one only because I'm fearing he'll resign before anything else, whether Shearer is in or not. Then there's Dennis Wise............
The Thierry Henry comment was in response to a child asking "if you could sign any one player, who would it be?" on a phone in for crying out loud!
It just highlights the fact that he's out of touch. It's going to take him at least until the end of the season to get up to speed let's just hope we're still in the Premiership.
He leaves after this season. We don't go down because enough teams below us actually are worse. We finish in 17th. And I hope to God they don't bring in Shearer. Thx, Jay!

I know you are from Seattle and it's easy to get down, and being a Magpie doesn't help, but c'mon, we need some positive vibes here. Relegation? Be careful what you wish for.
Share your positive vibes then my friend. Pass the pipe down we all could use some. Seriously what good news do you have for us? It's ********ing grim and our schedule is brutal coming up and we may not get any points for 6 weeks or so.
Jesus wept stop drinking the haterade. Everyone's frustrated but it's been 5 games, and in case you hadn't noticed we weren't world beaters to begin with.
My official position is Unicorns make everyone happy and I'm not calling for Keegan to be sacked yet. I just want to spark some discussion in what I believe is a valid topic.
There goes the panic button. Did anybody think that Keegan would hit the ground running? The man just got there and needs to size up the hand that was dealt to him. After that he has to start identifying what players are/or will be available and how much money he will have to spend. To actually think he would be able to turn things around in the 25-30 games that are left much less the 5 games that he has already been there is wishful dreaming and at worst insane. Managers are not given the time necessary to build a stable and successful club anymore (see Man U & Arsenal). Relegation may be what will happen but you have to pick someone and give him a chance to succeed. Threads like this especially so soon after Keegan's appointment are counterproductive.
