Hugo who?, Santos who?, Valdir who?, Silva who? SCP's finest they aint. How much playing time did these guys see last season, compared to Alves, Wender, Nunes? even Louis Loureiro for that matter.
I will say this - Alves would be a good replacement for Viana. He works more than Viana, who may have more talent per se, but is really soft. Wender and Nunes, I'm not sold on. Nonetheless, I would much rather see Valdir in a Sporting jersey this season, with Paito playing more on the wing as opposed to LB, as he is weak defensively. Poof - no need for Wender. Veloso or Semedo need a chance to shine, but if I am spending money on a CB, then it would be on Castro - he's younger and has more upside. Bottom line, something fishy is going on in Braga. Perhaps a better deal is coming along that will trump Sporting's offer; it remains to be seen...
Not sold on Wender? you haven't seen to much of him I'm guessing. He finished with like 9 goals but it's his all around play that impresses me. I would actually prefer it if no one in SCP (or any other team) was interested in Wender so Braga could keep him

Well Nuno Santos played the entire year as did Valdir as did Silva...should I go on...face it Brage attempted to rape SCP when their history tells us that they normally sell at rock-bottom prices... So now all of a sudden they wise up...come on panic is starting to set in as the new season approaches and the still haven't paid last years salaries...
