NO TO BLACK ROCK I was there when the place was invaded by the Notts Forest Rugby team!!! Many of us left at halftime to go to the Map Room. Fonsos tried the Black Rock one year (2001 season, I think). We were always promised the back room with the large screen and the nice pool table, never got it. There was a bad plastic vibe from the yuppies in the neighborhood. In the front room unless you got a spot at the bar (limited) sight lines to the tv's were very poor - think neck strain. The Rugby World Cup runs through November 22nd, so you can damn sure bet there will be interference with any watch party for the rest of the season. Even if the matches are replays on FSW, there will be interference. Plus local rugby clubs come in after their matches to imbibe, etc. There will be interference. Just say no to the Black Rock. I did not reserve the bus. I don't think there will be enough people who will be willing to go. Nobody was asking me about it yesterday when we were going to Columbus. I know that the ticket manager of DC United called the Fire asking if there will be a group of travelling support. They will be very happy to set up an away supporters section. So how many of you are coming? Enough to notice? That's not a slur, but in a crowd of 20k, 10-15 fans can be hard to find (I couldn't find you guys earlier this season).
