does ryu believe he's shown enough to warrant playing time at a club of leverkusen's calibre? he struggled to get minutes during preseason and in the limited playing time failed to produce. it can't be a good strategy just waiting for all of his competition (son kruse drmic etc) to take off elsewhere. especially with the olympics just a year away.

he has no choice. he can't force other teams to spend money to loan him out.

Lewandowski became the new manager of FC Union Berlin. Perhaps RSW will go on loan to Berlin in winter.. anyways, surprised Lewandowski will be managing in Buli 2 instead of Buli 1 club.

Lost to newly promoted Darmstadt this weekend, tied 1-1 with Belarusian giants BATE Borisov. Maybe Son wasn't so expendable?

We'v been through this. Bayer never wanted to let him go. Son pushed for the move.

That being said, I don't see how Son would add any more at Bayer Leverkusen right now. Their issue isn't the lack of attacking talents at the final third.

I never said he was pushed out. Talking more about how some fans were saying Son was the player they could most afford to sell and weren't too sad to see him go. Maybe I'm giving too much weight to what some English-speaking/reddit Bayer fans were saying.

I reckon that could be because of the fact that they already had replacement players ready. At Hamburg, a lot of fans missed him because they lost their only talent and he was irreplaceable. At Bayer Leverkusen, there's Brandt who has been primed by the club and Mehmedi challenging for the place. I don't think any Bayer fan would be happy that he moved away. I think a better way to put it would be that the transfer was amicable because of the reason above and the fact that Son left a healthy profit for Bayer.

Also, while I'm writing this, goal by Chicharito.

In hindsight we know that the board knew well in advance and brought Mehmedi in early. Brandt has been there a while too, so Scmidt has nothing to complain about.

Did anyone see that video with Bellarabi snarling in Wendell's face after he made a mistake? Hakan had to come over and give him a kiss on the neck to console him lol.
