Rumor is he's been traded to Colorado for a draft pick. Does this mean that someone has traded for Carrieri?

You lose Hart and add Suarez. I'd say that's an improvement. Suarez makes about 36k. Carrieri 55k. That almost takes care of your cap problem. Don't you need to shave another 11k off?

Wow. That would be far better than I expected. I like Suarez and we could use a RB. While I still don't like losing Carrieri, I'd have to give the Wank some credit for putting this together. Assuming, of course, it pretty much solves the cap problem.

How reliable is this rumor? I'm a little surprised not to see anyone either a) rake this one over the coals or, b) confirm it (as much as these things get confirmed). Maybe everyone took the weekend off of BS...

Anybody watch Suarez play last season? He didn't have the best of times for either LA or Dallas. If we get him and lose Carrieri, I still think it is a negative overall move.

Just for the record, I like Suarez a lot. I lobbied in a column in 2002 for the Rapids to make a trade to get him before his horrible 2003 season. I'd like to see him in Black and Blue but I'm not sure at the expense of CC. That said, he could probably fill in at any position along the backline and would definitely upgrade the RB slot from Hart.

Suarez struggled last year but before that he was pretty good. He certainly always played hard like Hart but was a bigger contributor. It would be worth it to pick up Suarez and see if he comes around again. He would certainly bring some attitude to the field.

I would trade him strait up for Hart in a second, but not for Carrieri.

One thing that was left out was the comment from Suarez to Galaxy fan Tommy Mack that he was "unhappy about the trade". I don't think he has anything against the Rapids, just that he's tired of being uprooted yet AGAIN. It takes a while to adjust, and now he has to do it again. It will be interesting to see his attitude when this trade happens....

Your attitude/frame of mind can greatly affect your level of play. Who'd be happy in Dallas anyway? Maybe getting somewhere he wants to be will help him get back to form. I wonder if Bruce will give him another look anytime? I thought he did fine in the Wales game...or did he play against New Zealand?

my question is why he didn't play in LA after the trade from dallas. did he get hurt? wasn't he starting in the preseason this season for la. just curious do they have abundant of defenders not to ask us for any position if it is true about this trade?

Ryan had a cracked vertibrete in his neck last season. He should be fine now.

Well, maybe that would explain why he was absolute crap last year, for both Dallas and LA.

Hopefully for him and whatever team he ends up on he can return to his 2002 form now that he's over this injury.
