I watched The Believer a few nights ago and was just floored by the performance of Ryan Gosling as the Jewish kid that becomes a neo-Nazi.

I had never heard of him before and haven't seen anything else he's been in. Based on his performance in that movie though, it seems to me if he plays his cards right he could be a top grade actor.

Anybody else seen this movie or anything else he's been in?

    I liked it a lot.

I had seen the actor in "Young Hercules" and some teen beach show.

The Believer is one of the best movies that has come out in the past few years. It's a damn shame that so many companies wouldn't touch it for release due to "sensitive" subject matter, especially with all the perverse crap they do produce.

Gosling was also in a movie that got a lot of critical acclaim at Sundance this past year, I believe, called "The United States of Leland". It also has Kevin Spacey, Don Cheadle, Kevin Spacey and Jena Malone. I haven't seen it yet, though, as it hasn't gotten wide release.

I will keep an eye out for that. It'll probably be on DVD in 6-12 months.

most people have seen remember the titans, which he was in. and he was also in murder by numbers, which he got some positive reviews for. the movie wasn't all that great but people liked what he did.
