optimistic much, bro? Taking down Czech is one thing (Yes, I know they trashed us in the friendly) but they're going to have another thing coming when they go up against the likes of Germany, Spain et al. Case in point Euro 2008 where they did something similar.

The Russian midfield are such elegant strollers when they have the ball, great passers. They are not that reliant on Arshavin as they seemed in the last euro's. Lost a bit of steam in the second half but the chech's were dead on their feet at that stage. The left full back for the chech's was brilliant.
Two great games so far this tournament is going to be great!

Your average age was 26 in 2008 (and Zenit won the UEFA Cup that year), and it's 30 now. You had ten intense minutes, distributed over the game, and 80 minutes of basically doing nothing. "Doing nothing" for most of the game won't work against better teams.

Well,ok that was a solid performance last night for the Russians, but dont forget that their national team are one of the most weird psyckologies. They are cabable for the best as well as the worst.

Dzagoev was great last night, suprised by Pavliuchenko's super strike...

Poor performance by Čech, not equal of his quality.

Russian showed good team play. Dzagoev a very good player and we will soon see him in English clubs, such as Chelsea.

If Denmark can beat Holland, Russia certainly can with some luck.

Germany and Holland look far from unbeatable so far. Good going forward but still vunerable at the back.

It's even more possible Holland will get knocked out of the group stage. Russia can definitely beat Denmark or Portugal in the Quarter Finals.
