Through 20': Looks totally different now. Russia has control and initiative at the moment.

The Czechs look extremely vulnerable whenever Russia are on the break. Well. It looks like Russia will be going through.

Russia 2-0 very nice goal. CZ defense needs to pull it in a bit. They are all over the place.

have no idea weather arshavin intended it for the guy in the middle or the wing , but in the end it ended up with a second goal , they are very dangerous on the counter and the czechs arent organized to block them

Czech team has much better quality and are feeling much more comfortable on the ball. It's a shame they haven't got a decent striker. But Russians executes them - like three shots and two goals...

C'mon, it's Czechoslovakia. We zip in, we pick 'em up, we zip right out again. We're not going to Moscow. It's Czechoslovakia. It's like going into Wisconsin.

The CR's defense is playing Russian Roulette.. this could be Czech-mate!

They should have gone hypermodern, and opened with Reti craziness.

Between our not very good CBs and Bilek's preferred style of play, that is our weakness. In theory, Plašil should be dropping back to help, but this is two straight matches he has had a costly give away in midfield and been largely invisible defensively. Kadlec is having a horrendous match defensively, but again, in this formation our FBs are basically 2nd wingers.

It's a strategy that may work against Poland and Greece, who are less clinical in attack, but its why most Czech's don't think very highly of our manager.

How can a team that was so bad in the first half look so good in the second? And what happened to the Russians?
