Russia says it WILL veto resolution, unless it is changed

and Pakistan (one of the "swing" countries) says it won't support it either -

In an immediate reaction, the White House said it hoped Russia and France would not veto a second UN resolution on Iraq.

"If they were to veto...it would be, from a moral point, more than a disappointment. It would let down millions of people around the world, in this case Iraq, who deserve to be free and have a better life," White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said.

At least they're no longer hiding behind false excuses like WMD, or the "moral case", or "supporting the UN" (ha!). Regime change or bust, I guess.

i wouldn't be supprised if russia plays their hand. but at the same time i wouldn't put it past them to abstain just because i see so much politcal shuffling. preicting this is something i'm not even 25/75 on though.
