Great thread. Got bottom deck 7 rows back for Kazan so I won't see much, but the other two games I'm in the top decks in corners (basically cat2 for cat3 price) so I'm happy with that
oh bit rough. to be honest I just wanted to be in the top deck so I could actually see the game with depth. 7 rows back from the goal I don't really expect to watch too much of the actual tactical gameplay
yeah for ARG-ICE I'm in Row 3 behind the endline so same thing. I'm super happy I got a ticket for that match and being so close is cool when the ball is close or the action is in that end. Just being in the stadium is going to be great for that one though, and being down close will feel really immersed in everything. That's one of my most anticipated matches.
it is unbelievable how FIFA sold CAT1 tickets in areas where it is really CAT2, and CAT2 in areas where is CAT3.
Has anybody figured out the significance of "level" printed on the ticket. For example in Kazan I'm in B114 level 3 but on the chart in this thread B114 is on level 1. Confused! In Sochi I'm on level 6 B301 and in Samara I'm on level 5 C517
It is a way of easily directing you to your seat, similar to the 'block' which is the section or aisle of the stadium where you will go to in order to find your row, and when you have found your row you can walk along until you find your seat number. By telling you your level and then having appropriate signage in the stadium, it means people don't walk around aimlessly looking for their seat, but instead have clear instructions to be able to find where they have to go. If they didn't put Level 6 then maybe someone would just go straight ahead to the first section they see when they enter and try to walk to their seat from there, instead of following the signs which for example say to walk up a flight of stairs to the appropriate level. If this is still confusing, better to not put too much thought into it now as it will be very clear and straightforward on the day, and otherwise there will be many people who can help you!
So in essence I'm still in the "bottom" deck for Kazan and "upper" deck for Samara and Sochi. Hahahah
Just got my France TST delivered and pretty happy with seats. A row 1, row 2, row 10 and row 11 (of course thats the final), all upper level. Not happy 2 of those games look like they should have been Cat 2 and not Cat 1 though. Does anyone know how many rows are in the upper level of the Luzhniki?
Just seen a YouTube clip of the stadium in Kazan. Level 1 behind the goals is actually quite steep so it looks like you will be close and actually have some depth to see the game tactically. Pleasantly surprised!
You'll be very close to the action and will be a great atmosphere but may have some net or post blocking some view. For some this is an incredible seat, others prefer a little more height. Check the videos below for an idea.
360 Flyover videos of most of the stadiums (originally posted by @Licho in ticket thread) Niznhny Kazan: SPB: Spartak: Sochi: Kaliningrad: https://youtu.be/Cy7MLHn2gDA Luzhniki: https://youtu.be/Q_jX1Q5KfAE Rostov-on-Don: https://youtu.be/Ldz_8MJqIy0 Volgograd: https://youtu.be/dftlfzT_4yk
Excellent vids, gives at least some insight into what views will be like. Apart from ekaterinaberg I don't really think there's a bad seat in the house. Even level 3 up back looks good.
Not that I actually care but I find it a bit hilarious that I have CAT1 for Brazil v Costa Rica in block C218, while friends have CAT3 tickets on D213 but same row. Basically paying 105USD extra for pretty much same view.
